Like toadally Emms, sometimes you can even have a better conversation that way. ;-)
Do you think our "mystery stranger" might be feeling a little Badgered? -
Indeed. Because I'm starting to get this urge to sew two buttons onto one of my socks and start talking to it.
Does this mean, you are really hosed off!
or is something else afoot...?
:- ) -

or is something else afoot...?Ian, for goodness sake: we're trying to heel here.
-
you plug one hole and it just comes in through another
trolls have no mana, even when they're meta-trolling
-
...we're trying to heel here.
damn, and I thought I was being arch!
-
damn, and I thought I was being arch!
I expect you to toe the line as much as anyone else.
-
my dad likes puns.
-
Damn, I'm wearing odd sacks.
-
I like big puns and i cannot lie
some other brothers cant deny...as to the resurrection of pollywog on this site, i can guarantee with absolute certainty that it never happened.
So what now with the NZoA debate and discussion ? where to and what now ?
it's too important an issue to not have robust discussion and open debate on line. it speaks to the heart of our national identity as represented by arts and culture being visible in the mainstream.

Here's an idea - how about discussing it on your blog, Robbie
as to the resurrection of pollywog on this site, i can guarantee with absolute certainty that it never happened.
True - it was just part of that dredged-up 2008 thread

My, doesn't time fly when PASsing by.
Ok.... I got no coat. :) -

I was keen that it didn't become about personalities -- but it did, and not only about people outside the conversation, but about the people persisting with the conversation. That's not only annoying, it's unproductive and alienating.
-

I'm currently picturing you as Andre the Giant off Princess Bride.
-
Personally I don't give a damn about NZOA, nothing in life is totally fair or unbiased. It is very rare for someone with talent to be completely ignored but to be a successful popular artist you have to be... well. popular? and that is a matter of taste and fashion. There are far more pressing things to discuss, like democracy and fair representation.
I, for one, abhor the concept of private prisons for profit and will fight tooth and nail to see crusher Collins back in the dole queue. -
[Wrong thread]
Dread Pirate Robert Archetype. Elsewhere. -
like democracy and fair representation.
-
annoying, unproductive and alienating ? That sounds like how tourettes feels about NzonAir's decisions
It's virtually impossible to disassociate the issues from the personalities, especially when most think the issues are the personalities.
You must have known Russ that there were bound to be personality issues cropping up, but to be fair, most of the thread wasn't about that at all.
and here's an idea sacha, go learn up on electronic music if you think you're gonna call me out on it...now run along troll
-
Robbie, I was about to blow the whistle on what was becoming a pile-on on you.
Question: why can't you bring the good faith and experience you demonstrate on your own blog here with you? Please, mull over that idea.
But ...
and here's an idea sacha, go learn up on electronic music if you think you're gonna call me out on it...now run along troll
Don't push your luck now.
-
when most think the issues are the personalities
And that's a large part of what goes wrong when we try to have a reasoned discussion. I disagree that "most" people think like that, certainly not about the topic we've been discussing.
I noted another option for you, Robbie. You can behave however you like in your own place. Or you can stay and - like me and everyone else - accept Russell's word about what is ok here. I'm not going to be taking any of the bait slung in my direction so you may as well stop.
-
I like electronic music, but I don't know enough about it to tell anyone else what's what
-
kevin russell/robbiesiataga/dubmugga/pollywog/etal-
what's so hard about being yourself?
Being own self?
Not a series of yapping masks?
Why be continually aggressive?I know quite a bit about electronic music but will not engage with you/any of your personae because- you like aggro- you dont like real korero/discussion/insightful talk- and I love the true swapping/interxchange of ideas & conversation-
especially in the arts(writing/sound/paint) areas-you're a sad sod really-
-
Islander, you and me both seem to get offended by people who are disingenuous and who undermine truthful connection and conversation. Perhaps though it is time for us to breathe, to rise above that and let sods be sods where they lie. In the end it's Russell's garden to weed as he pleases.
-
Question: why can't you bring the good faith and experience you demonstrate on your own blog here with you?
cos my kids read my blog :)
-
Sacha -thank you- cool & wise - I will, from now on, let sods lie where sods lie-and NEVER respond again to fuckwitted aggressive & stupid
people of limited social intelligence-Robbie Siataga- your kids read this thread in the future, they will cringe at your agression & arrant stupidity.
Heoi.
-
Islander. Don't talk to me, about me or my kids. It's offensive and embarassing on your part and one sure way i will respond to your obvious trolling.
Sacha...what a sad and pathetic existence you lead. Persistenly trolling me on subjects you plainly know nothing about
and for the record i am not Kevin Russell. '
Post your response…
