3410,
Don't worry, Steven; SFW. :)

The love thread is languishing. Sad, when we need love more than ever,
Yes. After a week in the blissful far north with friendly strangers and open affection from our close friends, my love sits firmly in my heart for those people and those glorious locations to which I have become so expecting, as my annual medication.Gotta love NZ.
I got home last night, thought, flick on the box to catch up and choice up first was 3 Hitler programmes, 3 crime programmes, and a couple of disaster shows. Great hmmmm.then the PVR malfunctioned, then I ignored it all and looked at my many new Bromeliads that I returned from my holiday with. Gotta love gifts from our friends. Before we left there yesterday (taking one friend with us to Kerikeri Airport, to climb mountains in Qtown) I told them that they were the best people to know in the far north. I know I am not wrong. Then of course there is the view. Gotta love those views. -

This thread is *loverly* (hear the 'My Fair Lady' intonation.)
I had even more reason to love family & friends on the 26th, after toppling over a 12m drop...waua! good to have the trained & experienced around as well as my 83yrold Mum, who- soon as we got back from A&E in Oamaru, poured me the biggest dram of 15yrold Bowmore I've ever had poured-
it's the understanding, 'the knowledge, bro" aspects, as well as- most certainly- the humour, that contribute to lasting love realtionships.
Sof' -that garden sounds awesome. Havent been into WAA yet, but look fwd. to- and little baby cheezuses will be away this coming week along with Andris's work- cheers all-

I think we'd all like to discourage you from that sort of activity Islander.

No worries Kyle - I dont plan to repeat the event. It's gone into the same file as 'shooting possums from the upstairs sundeck.'
Do Not. Do. Again.
-
But shooting possums from the upstairs sundeck sounds like fun...

Sof' -that garden sounds awesome.
'Tis my friend, I planted 22 new specimens today, then had food then joined the crew at Macs Neighbourhood Bar for their 1st birthday with free drinks and food. I have taken photos of such a wonderful evening of this event and a gift of them will celebrate the occasion. Islander, you get better girl, must hurry, love you .

My little piece of Sofie's garden is flourishing, spreading the love a bit wider.
I discovered the damnedest thing - it seems like aloes like being surrounded by weeds.
-
Deborah - it is!
Right up 'til that moment when you step backwards to get a better shot*......*remembering, a nano second too late, that there isnt a railing and it's 5 metres to whompsmasheektime.

Thanks to Sacha for alerting me to this manatee story of love (kindness and concern) in the not-so-warm waters of Florida

Melancholy is very underrated as an ideal mood state.
Necessary for the blues, and I think in the ol' punk (in a faster way.)and yes, underrated in a moody way, but I reckon it's because we have choices, simple as that. You want moody? take it. Each to, Steven.

"Dunedin, move along, nothing to see here!";)You should definitely express your interest.

I once spent a few days in Dunedin during a January. I paddled about on the beach, foolishly thinking the sea's temperature would be the same as it was further north. It was... bracing.
-
Christmas in Dunedin one year - 12 fecking degrees. Guess it felt nice and familiar to the Scottish settlers. That's love.
-
oh come on where's the love? - to be fair we've had an awful summer so far - but then summer doesn't start until Feb right?
Our sea has icebergs in it what do you expect - from my office I can see Antarctica - or could if there wasn't a horizon in the way
-
"Dunedin, No engine breaking for 2kms"
