TV3 gave their answer in their 3News report. They acknowledged the win but said it was a ratings bomb when it screened in NZ. Without acknowledging it screened on 3.

Maybe a different result in a different timeslot?

I love awards ceremonies. I tape them, and fastforward through the boring bits. I was really disappointed that NZ TV isn't going to screen the Emmys. Boo hiss.
