At least they didn't engineer David to say "I can smell the beer on your breath"

Caucasians make such good politicians.
They have these big mouths for putting their foot in.
Plus their refined ability to generalise, trivialise and stereotype fils provincial reporters notebooks with such career making twaddle.

I played The Model last week on commercial radio and now news that Kraftwerk is coming here again in this morning's paper.
It's like you called them, David. Mysterious gods from other worlds drawn by your electronic emissions.
or else you knew they coming awhile back.

The South African Rugby Union seems to have balls enough to keep afternoon games even though a 7.30 game would be good for Tri Nations partners.
My kids have gone to one test only. 5.30pm Eden Park, Australia. They still say it was one of their most exciting nights and it played in Aussie at 2.30pm. Perfect.
And finally, the pub after tradition is dying with the night matches.

Aucklanders and Wellintonistas can still rest safely in their beds knowing that in Christchurch your fame still depends on what boat your forebears arrived on!?

Kim Hill is a force of nature! Smart, funny and aware. You can tell the good ones as they listen. Kim is also 53 today. That was on my filthy commercial radio station this morning. Sorry.

It seems that you can indeed get the HD mySky for $49 if you are not a current mySky subscriber, but you then have to pay $15 a month for the box and the $10 a month for the service, ongoing. Added to my already $81 a month for basic, sport and movies, that makes $106 a month or $1,272 a year! I will pass on it too.
Don't forget to add on the cost of the HD TV. $3K? Plus the 5.1 sound system or else the sport will sound a little distant. And all this as the price of cheese rockets away.

Could someone spare a thought for the mouse?
On the topic of leaving dingoes to eat their young, it's the same attitude as the whole Knut the baby polar bear thing in Europe. To intervene or not to intervene. It's the same in the zoo as in politics and economics. And no-one's ever right.

I've always like the Zen approach to consciousness, which seems to me pretty much to be "Just experience it. Talking about it may fool you into thinking you get it, but you would be getting it about as much as an expert on swimming who had never been in the water"
Finally something I might understand, if I was brave enough to think about it, in this thread.

So I'm late..whatever
I was amazed at TVNZ's hysteria over Glenn last night on the telly. I was dumbfounded they didn't mention it's an honourary position. This morning at water coolers all the talk was "jobs for boys" and there was surprise when the cooler people discovered to be an "honourary" position.
But most of all I couldn't believe Guyon was hyping a footnote into a lead. And that's worrying.
This election is going to be won by how people "feel". They may "feel" it's time for a change. Or they may "feel" Key can't be trusted. So when Guyon and Duncan come on air every night and tell people how they should "feel" or who "won" the day then the political process is being dominated by 2 guys with no mandate.
