  • Hard News: The sole party of government,

One of the strangest electorate voting results has to be Ohariu Belmont.
Apart from being National's lapdog and voting accordingly what policies did he manage to get through Parliament in the last term?

There was his f....d up Psychoactive Substances Bill.
It was only after Campbell Live ran story after story on this insidious shit did he finally pull the plug on it. The amount of personal damage this bill caused was devastating and sickening. Did he care...Only when the heat got too much.
I believe he intends on reintroducing an amended version of this bill again this term. What a dangerous experiment again.

He introduced the Student Loan Amendment Bill targeting students who haven't or can't repay their enormous student debts and have escaped the country to avoid repayment. Ok these debts are substantial. He has looked at revoking their passports. Shaky ground there.

Oh yes he had to resign over the GCSB leak, refused to release emails that may have proved his innocence and got caught out unwisely trying to get " friendly " with Andrea Vance.

And Ohariu Belmont votes him back in again. Oh dear oh dear. What are they smoking or popping there.

Good call on the digital signal...by chance mostly we do the same. I just can't stand Hosking and the lightweight frilly stuff they do on that show anyway.

Possible. Who knows what Winston will do at any given moment in time.
Key has made his decision on his investigation already - he won't change. " I'm right, your wrong " fuck that got up my nose. He doesn't want to find anything more than his narrow investigation is designed to come up with.
I loved the comment from ( I think ) Glenn Greenwald when he said the something like the Beast looking at his own belly.

Thanks Sofie - I'll make a note of that. I've just given Facebook away for a while - too many pictures of fluffy kittens and twee self help sayings put me right off.
If you try and get people involved in discussing anything political you can almost see them run for their high brick wall reality proof shelters.
And it eats up valuable time spent doing real things.

Yes. Respect from both Hone and John for each other and that came through powerfully. Hone seems very grounded and his comments about his Mokos jumping all over him and how real and important that was for him, that touched me. Having grandkids of my own I know the total buzz you get from that.

    That sucked eh.
Those poor families have suffered so much already and I can't imagine how sick they feel now after seeing this. Bloody Key and his lies...
John Campbell seems to be the only Media entity out there that gives a damn.

I just had a look at that site. What a great idea.
I like the Party thing especially if you can get lots of bands on board.
Bands have to work the gigs hard these days to try and make money ( and sometimes fame ), younger folk are into going out to pubs etc and having a great time. There are a lot of really good young bands/ musicians around and often they are often more politically aware.
I saw a video from Lorde, who although she is/ was to young to vote, she was encouraging younger folk to get out and vote. Great.
A positive win win all round .

I might or I might not.
Thinking is fine, verbalising thoughts can get you into a power of poo, especially when Politics is raised.
Apparently the old saying about P and R must still be true as I am knee deep in it.
You might think that we would have grown out of that by now. I may well do.
But then I am just a very naughty boy.

Yes indeed. It pees me off the way the Media are hounding prospective leaders and almost forcing a Leader contest. It is divisive and most likely what is wanted by the media and other vested interests.
Leaders should be the last thing on Labour’s mind and some potentials are saying just that, but the media just keep on.
When the whole election came down to personality above politics it seems best to get away from that and look at just went wrong for Labour. Seems by far the important issue.
Involve some of the Greens if needed – their twin leadership model works well for them and Labour Green do need to work in unison. A new leader is just falling for the trap once again.
