aggressnogenic .............. I cant take credit for this very apt word.
I first across it in a press release from these health proffesionals http://www.alcoholaction.co.nz/pdfs/Alcohol%20Action%20Pamphlet.pdf
I've done a quick hunt through their site but cant find the actual quote.
Never mind ............ the shoe fits for the drug piss
-
When I hear a politician like S powers speak it reinforces to me just how bad and sick they are ( politicians )
The Natianals, like labor are actually PRO drug ……………………. Its just that the drug has to be piss.
This should be as plain to everyone as Doug Myers knighthood but incase some people have been living their lives with their eyes closed here’s some examples of how our governments in recent times have helped and been the piss pushers friends .
They have LOWERED the drinking age so younger people can get stuck into it.
They have Liberalized where it can be sold so now piss addicts ( alcoholics) cant even buy their grocerys without having the shit shoved in their faces.
They have lifted restrictions on advertising the stuff so even children who are too young to drink can see that the booze ‘exports’ you to a better fun place.
So the evidence would seem to quite clear that our governments have been quite strong in their support of the drug booze …………………. And stuff the consequences.
There is also what I would call a ‘mindfuck’ which goes on around the drug alcohol where even quite educated and normal people do not think of it as a drug.
This cleaver little ‘mindfuck’ has been repeated so often it has taken on a truth of its own and even some sensible people will refer to ‘alcohol AND drugs ‘ , this little trick seems to soothe people into believing that alcohol is not a drug and that it is not as bad as ‘drugs’.
Because of all the truth minimization which goes on around the drug booze a lot of people seem ignorant on the real issues of ‘drug abuse’ in this country.
There is a drug in this country which is involved in approximately 65,000 assaults per year.
There is a drug which is aggressnogenic and leads to a large surge in crimes of violence and disorder every weekend.
There is a drug which is addictive and toxic and which can ruin its users health
There is a drug which because it is 'legal' society tries to pretend is not as bad as other ‘drugs’
The drug is piss and our country is drowning in it.
Could someone perhaps remind me of how Simon Powers voted on the law which would have required warning labels to be placed on alcohol containers????????????????.
I believe Powers and his natianal chums voted against this public health measure.
They are Pro drugs I tell you …………………………. As long as the drugs is piss .................. and we have to pretend it is not a drug.

I’m sorry to hear about the unfortunate out comes for the mentally unwell people you knew Islander .
But while I believe cannabis may be able to bring on a schizophrenic episode in someone who already has the condition I don’t believe cannabis itself can cause the disease. Otherwise where’s the huge spike in the stats starting from the mid 1960’s on ………. There isn’t one.
However keeping youngsters drug free for as long as possible is a fine idea which I support .When I say alcohol psychosis I’m probably not using the clinically correct term, I use it to describe out of character violence and aggression brought on by the consumption of alcohol …….
I’d say most domestic violence involves a bit of alcohol psychosis ……. and we have a lot of that in Nz.
Same when males get in fights and punch their mates ……… or people fighting with strangers at places like taxi stands .
What else but psychosis could cause a young person to use their car as a weapon and run down people?. Now that IS attempted mass murder and every case I can think of bar one involved an alcohol affected person behind the steering wheel.
Having worked as both a barman and a taxi driver in the past I’m actually quite surprised to think anyone believes alcohol psychosis to be a rare condition. But my use of the term is pretty broad.
Quite often it is the amount of drunk people around which has a bearing on how safe or relaxed we feel, especially in an environment like a city center. The consumption of alcohol is related to rates of violence, disorder and dickheadness …………… not cannabis
-
Islander .................... I was saying Stanley Graham did not use cannabis as an example to show the batty belief 'that all nz mass murder's used cannabis is emotive false bullshit.
Alcohol psychosis was extremely common in the house I was growing up in and seems to be relatively common amongst drunks from what I've seen ............. perhaps you and I have a different interpretation of the word psychotic .........
As I stated I have two dry alcoholic friends who enjoy cannabis. It does not and can not take them to that unconscious piss all over yourself state that alkies seem to want ( oblivion ), but my two friends enjoy cannabis and have been dry for a while now.......... accept it.
And Wow Islander .......... I've been smoking cannabis all of my life and dont know anyone driven insane by it ...........
But you know 10 people who cannabis 'deranged'.Thats Incredible. Do they have a doctors note stating cannabis made them so ?
Just thinking ............. when they start arresting the bakery owners who sell cream doughnuts to obese people I'll believe that cannabis prohibition is about protecting health.
Otherwise its just more bullshit.

This thread has wandered somewhat ..........
Early on there was the slightly insane comment that all nz mass murderers used cannabis. How about the name Stanley Graeham for a bit of reality.
Its batty fear mongering by those who don't have a clue which is responsible for such daft beliefs about cannabis and some other drugs .
Other thread contributors did not think much of the guest speakers intertwining of alcohol into his legalize/regulate cannabis argument.
This country has a booze culture which results in a hell of a lot of drinkers not recognizing that when they " have a drink ", or whatever euphemism is used that they are taking drugs ....
That a pub is really just a drug den.
People who should know better refer to " Alcohol AND drugs" when talking about the two, ........... artificial separation anyone ? http://www.onmedica.com/news/36bd010e-aef5-4eb4-8fc8-3736c3da0d1d/alcohol-and-cigarettes-more-dangerous-than-some-illegal-drugs
"Alcohol is a highly intoxicating drug which is fairly easy to overdose on" ...... http://www.alcoholaction.co.nz/Background.aspx
And then we have a govt which tells us it is " tough on drugs " ...... so it gives doug myers a knighthood ....Drug debate is political and extremely dumbed down ........ It was probably druggies who burgled me -John Key
Back to the booze.
I know a few alcoholics, some of them are totally fucked and a couple are 'dry' .
The two dry alcoholics I know both enjoy cannabis. It is not a replacement for booze because it cant take them to oblivion.
But these two enjoy/want a relaxing recreational drug and cannabis serves them well without the addiction, the mess or the violence.
And as the last couple of pages of this thread seem to be about city centers and crime ............. alcohol psychosis mainly plus some predators targeting the drunks.

parking fines ............ parking wardens also have the power to give out no rego and no warrent fines which come in at about $200 or $250 each, that can bump up fine totals very quickly.
And the courts departments defaults and penalty fee's are very close to a racket ......
I myself have had experience in doing community service for fines. My fines were substantial but below five figures.
I could have paid "the man" but would much rather spend my money on my family and kids
So I did what Micky did but without a lawyer. I basically jacked up my own community service for a worthy community service provider.
My community service did consist of pretty hard work ( picking up and dropping of goods donated or items sold in the charity's shop, this often meant moving things like sofa's and beds up and down wellington paths and steps ).
I felt good about my community service as the people who had the time to donate to the charity were older and could not do the " grunt work ", they got labor they needed for free and I got my fines of my back .................
I even said to the nice lady as she signed of my last hours of community work that it was a shame we couldn't operate a system where I could get in credit with my labor so that my next fines would already be taken care of.......
When I was in court a young boy racer got the last part of $30,000 in fines converted to community service ....... he'd already done 200 hours which I thought was to his credit.
Why burden the young with debts they can never pay ????
Surely it is better to engage them and get them interacting in a work environment with older and varied people. Get them involved and feeling part of something good and something different.
I see community service as a win win situation where punishment can actually become a positive .

.............. I'm thinking and I could be wrong that the $3 million paid for the rugby will actually provide a return ............. whether its a return of $3 million I wouldn't know but its not like they are burning the money.
The supposed coverage of MTV is a total red herring, I've never heard anyone complain about Sky's exclusivity.
And while Russell is taking a look at the issue in a non-racist way thats not how its playing out in bigot land ( talk back etc ).
Expect the nats to play this in a Orewa style
Theres votes in it
-
Its near on amazing just how many prison inmates are in jail for a crime which involved alcohol.
There's a definate link between the consumption of booze and recorded crimes ....
And we keep pushing the booze.

interesting comments from Bowie looking back at himself.
He does look very thin in some parts ......
-
As others have commented Bowies health has been the cause of his un-official retirement.
People do bounce back from heart attacks.
His occured during the A Reality Tour about four of five months after he left New Zealand. The remaining legs of the tour was cancelled
