Whilst I empathize with Warburton and wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes, he is the captain and is fully versed on the responsibilities that the position entails. This wont be the first time he's been bitterly disappointed by a particular result and I would suggest that one of the qualities that makes him a captain is that he is able to keep his wits about him under the most intense pressure.
Having said that, an umbrella would have been nice, at the least.

It still happens too often, especially since most of the deaths in custody here in recent years have been young people. Any death in custody is inexcusable, let alone 300-odd in 12 years.

Does that answer your question?
Not really. Your explanation implies that all the overdose deaths in custody occur within 12-24 hours of being caught, and I dont think that is the case.

We should ask ourselves, what causes greater harm to the community - the bar or the pot-den? Seems to me the small number of people he sold pot to would have a much smaller social cost than the thousands who would theoretically frequent his bar.
