possibly hypocritical (given my atheism) but it's the ear worm in my head (just ignore the Jesus lyric if you prefer):

  • Hard News: History is now,

Sarah Palin has "limited political experience", TV One commentator informs us. So now you know.

I'm sorry, but Paul Henry's visit to Wasilla was pretty damning. It looked like one of those tiny places you stop for petrol at, on the Napier/Taupo highway.

  • Hard News: History is now,

my TV has split screen, meaning I can watch two channels at once (you flip between for the audio) so ...

I've got TV1 on one side (and they cross to ABC and CNN regularly) and Al Jazeera on the other (Triangle/Stratos via Freeview).

It's funny when you get both CNN and Al Jazeera showing their map coloured red, blue or yellow - and they're different.

Enjoying all the coverage but can recommend Al Jazeera if you've forgotten it.

    back to the box ...

  • Hard News: History is now,

yeah, it made me laugh too ... it was the last one I read, as if someone had got to the last of their chalk and thought "Dammit, I'm gonna say what I really feel"

  • Hard News: History is now,

Camp fifties Batman, or goth-angsty Batman? Cause I'd really like to see the former.

You can see him 7pm weeknight on C4 as the Mayor on Family Guy:

and just to prove he's wacky, here's an outtake from the sound booth:

Sans actual results lets pass the time with some anecdotes:

This morning on Ponsy Rd I noticed someone had chalked pro-Labour slogans on the footpath. Fair enough. But then I came upon one that read:

    John Key Hates Your Mother

Weird! Can anyone fill me in on that one means?

  • Hard News: Because They Could,

You're right Danielle - can we say Camelot? (Without jinxing ourselves).

Let's not say Camelot, shall we? Unless you want to start casting for the role of Marylin...

    Or Lee Harvey Oswald ...

  • Hard News: Because They Could,

According to ABC the tally is 0-0 at the moment.

Clear proof of media bias, as if needed. When will the MSM ever learn?

  • Hard News: Granny for Sale,

ie the attorney gave the judge a suitcase full of cash.

Oops, forgot to preview. Shoulda been:

ie not because the attorney gave the judge a briefcase full of cash. Which he didn't, because that would be bribery/perverting the course of justice.

  • Hard News: Granny for Sale,

    Don King

    Who?

Don King is/was a boxing promoter. His Wiki entry is worth a squizz.

King was convicted of second degree murder for the second killing after he was found guilty of beating to death an employee who owed him $600. In an ex parte meeting with King's attorney, the judge reduced King's conviction to nonnegligent manslaughter for which King served just under four years in prison.

ie the attorney gave the judge a suitcase full of cash.

    The fix may be in

    What fix?

Yes, the Boxing analogy in both my earlier posts went over the heads of most. Think of those old black and white boxing movies when the outcome is predetermined because local hoodlums have fixed the match. But the hero just wants to box...
In Helen's case the Polls may have counted her out already (the fix is in) but she's still got one more round ...

Campbell did cut them off rather a lot.

    Yes, he did.
