That’s fifty years since Engel v. Vitale, so if you want to know why God waited half a century to show he was mad at the Supreme Court, and had little children in Connecticut shot to show it, you would have to ask Mr. Huckabee.
I do have a fondness for that man.

I remember hearing that it was the trial of Oscar Wilde that put an end to public touching in British society; that before that it was common for male friends to walk arm-in-arm and so on. Depressing if true.

I’ve never used a pseudonym, mostly because I’m too lazy to think of a decent one. Whenever possible, I would just register myself as “Josh”. This did once lead to the the following echange on meeting someone at a party:
“So, are you “Josh” Josh or just Josh?”
“… yes?”

At work, so I won’t go browsing that site, but do they bring up old Judith Reisman and her erotoxins? I always liked that one – an attempt to medically prove that things that feel good are inherently bad for you.

But if men left it because they didn’t like working with women, that won’t bring them back. If they left just for the money, it might.
There are other factors that can make teaching unattractive to men – for example (the comments, more so than the actual post).

At one point in Hobo With A Shotgun, Rutger Hauer’s character begs on a sidewalk with the sign I AM TIRED NEED $ FOR LAWNMOWER – particularly compelling, since both of those statements apply to me at the moment.
