And the All Blacks are the smuggest, most self-righteous, jumped-up, arrogant team in the whole of sport. Bar none.

    and then

    I'm a Man U fan...

There's something I want to point out but I can't think what it is...

There's got to be a reasonable chance that Hadyn's middle name is James, so it might be him you were after...

A 100% chance it turns out.

I'd have thought the implication would have been worse if she hadn't been having sex with their son.

    Ha!
    I'm pregnant...don't worry, it's his

And I also like the term "lover", since it makes no assumptions about gender, seriousness or exclusiveness, and also encapsulates what it's all about: loving.

The only trouble is that unless you are French or having an affair, it comes across as unbearably pretentious. Not a problem for me, but others don't feel comfortable with it.

And it also implies quite strongly that you are having sex with them (although maybe not at the time of the introduction). But I like the word too (despite having never used it)

I had a workmate tell how she was embarrassed to tell her in-laws that she was pregnant because it (rather strongly) implied she had been having sex with their son.

Senator John Kerry's favorite team (the Patriots)

I may be missing the joke, but Kerry's favourite team should be the Steelers. They play at his wife's stadium.

I haven't shopped at Shell since they were entangled in the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa in 1995, while I was protesting at the CHOGM meeting in Auckland. Despite being having made other purchasing decisions on the basis of fly buys, I've avoided Shell for the past 13 years and will continue to do so.

Snap. My brother-in-law agreed: you kill Africans I drive on by...

    Hayden; bible-bashing redneck.

I will admit to having a "What the deuce?!" moment when I read that.

I think the reason people 'hate' the Pats is because they're so clinical.

Dude, why don't you just say "the reason people 'hate' the Pats is because they rule!"

    Ugh, how COULD you?

It's cos he's got a crush on a french girl. And they have the nicest uniforms.

Actually all of the six nations teams have AWFUL uniforms. the new England ones are terrible (though I do kinda like the new yellow Welsh ones). And no I don't but she does know her rugby.

I had a wee glace to the left of the thread and noticed our recent posts have almost made a little story:

If you cheat and succeed, you're savvy

I'm kind of glad I missed that, it would've sent my blood pressure through the roof.

When Beilchick was caught cheating and then people were defending him and saying that "every team does it" and that the Jets broke some kind of "code" by pointing out that he was cheating, I almost lost it completely. (deep breaths)

  • Up Front: Walking Through the Ruins,

I suspect they knew you hadn't purchased insurance from this reputable moving company!

That was the worst part, I had! But because I was living alone it took me a long time to unpack everything.
