  • Up Front: Walking Through the Ruins,

Never use professional movers unless you're heavily insured

Movers can be good, but for some reason the more expensive they are the worse they are. The best movers we ever had were two guys from a cheap firm who moved our whole house lot in two hours. The worst were from a well-known company and they broke all of the glassware I got for my 21st (I discovered after unpacking a month later)

I've got some original Mambo first prints and a brilliant Hacksaw Jim Duggan shirt from the 80s that is almost see-through it's so well worn. (Once I was wearing it on High St in Auckland and a passing businessman in his 40s yelled out "Hoooooo!" from across the street. I love that shirt.)

Oh and every now and again Amy decides to clear out my many 100s of t-shirts. Luckily each one has a carefully constructed reason for being kept.

If you're sentimentally attached to them, but not in a will-actually-wear-them kind of way, you could try cutting them up to construct curtains or a duvet cover or similar large furnishing-type objects.

I have plans to frame a few of the older ones with cool prints on them.

  • Field Theory: Good shot old chap,

    'stop perving at the netballers'

    never!

Also, despite the netballers clearly being as/more attractive than the rugby players they don't get the underwear contracts*. What gives?

We did briefly experiment with the concept of a porpoise-driven life, where you do whatever the dolphins tell you, but something seemed a bit fishy

Oh, I've been doing it much longer than that....

    Boom boom!

There was a long discussion last night in our house about the relative good looks of Carter and Kahui. It was decided that Carter looks his best from a slight distance, but that certain people in our house needed to get closer to Kahui just to check.

And I have to say that only the French come close to the kiwis for hot rugby teams.

  • Field Theory: You play to win the game,

So why not remove the option of a draw?

Golf is a sport when New Zealanders play it. At all other times it is a hobby.

Oh and I just noticed that Sir Bob going into the Hall of Fame isn't on Stuff. That's very below par (chuckle)

My view (FWIW) on the scrum problem was the complete lack of any rhythm from Barnes in his chanting

Yep, that was my thoughts in the original post
