By the look of some of these results we mightr be seeing the effect of having a politician whose rhetoric has empowered the margins to get out and vote... In other words, the disenfranchised poor in the U.S. are out, and are voting Obama.
Do you think that maybe "red state" republican voters might not bother because they feel complacent and haven't voted.
Though those demographic breakdowns are really interesting. A lot closer than the charts imply. I really want to get my hands on that data!

The early results from Indiana were supposed to break for McCain, until centres like Gary came in. They don't seem to be.
