We used to live in the second house down from the old monastery, on Hawker Street. It was beginning to slip downhill towards the harbour but obviously hasn't got there yet.
Brilliant, Geoff. Seems everyone has a Wellington story. My first flat in Wellington was on Percival Street, off The Terrace. Being the last into the flat, I got the room at the back, under the stairs, a metre away from the constantly seeping, moss-covered wall. Ah the (cough) wonderful (bronchial) memories...
