arrogant, and sanctimonious.
but in her defence, rau has a serious mental illness, a german accent, and refused to give her real name. the system is mostly to blame in her case.
but!! the system was poorly led by an arrogant and sanctimonious minister who refused to listen to the truth when i was finally presented her...

took two terms for blair listen to the hubris. rudd has a way to go yet.

But looking at Australia, they're quite a way behind us. What a difference a couple of women Prime Ministers makes.
in fact, there were strongly implied messages during the leadership debate that stated a woman would never be prime minister. it is an issue that aussies will need to face.
as as for refugees. sure, manage and try to limit the willingness of people to load themselves onto boats and come to australia.
but tampa and 'children overboard' was all about the willingness of a prime minister to *outright lie* about the motivations and actions of a whole lot of helpless people.
people who, if memory serves me correctly, were predominantly afghani and iraqi not indonesian.
and don't even get me started on the SIEV X conspiracies.

They invented flat rate here, and forced the rest of the market to follow them. The other big commercial ISPs in 1996 all wanted to charge $5 an hour, but they had to fold.
damn straight. after my first $100 bill from some isp i immediately changed to ihug, and enjoyed the service for 2 or three years.
they also wisely put a rather busty young lady on the front counter for bill payment. geeks would line up down the block once a month to see her.
these days? the company is shit.
took me a month to even get broadband connected , i spoke to a number of people who outright lied about when i was getting my service, and when finally i did it started dropping to dial-up for days at a time.
naturally i was told it was "probably a problem at my end"
immediately changed to orcon and haven't had a problem since. same modems, same cables to same port on wall. same computer.
oh, except ihug still trying to charge me for services i'd cancelled.
