Hard News: Do you like what we've done…, in reply to
Yeah, but we wouldn't need to validate each other if we just had a button to do it. In fact, instead of 'like', I would prefer the button to say 'validate'. Like parking!

Ain't no shame in your game, Robyn, because I'd like to do that too. I often think 'gosh, that was hilariously put' or whatever, but don't want to post solely to say that. Too much noise.

Oh. Also. This may be because I’m a total dumbass (many of my problems in life could probably be explained thereby), but… do I have to scroll down every time I want to see who’s had a bit of a natter on various threads? Is there a way to just go to that Recent Discussions bit more quickly?
Edit: ah! If you just go straight to publicaddress.net/system and bypass the front page, you end up with a list of the most 'recently active' threads.

Would it be possible to put the links to older and newer pages at the top of the page too, please?
Extra pretty please from me also. With a unicorn on top.

Also - without a word of a lie - the same indoor temperature that people want in winter is typically considered unbearable in summer and addressed with heavy doses of a/c.
I have been dying to rant about this for eight hours, because it is so true. They spend winter cranking up the central heating to ridiculous levels in some bizarre obsession with 'cosiness', giving everyone trying to sleep in the house night sweats. Then as soon as summer comes, a similar level of night-sweating is suddenly (and justly for me, because I enjoy a certain level of briskness while sleeping) cause for great concern! Madness.

This attractively serifed font makes me feel as though all of my postings should be Very Significant. Must try harder.

Huh. I'm quite interested in why that is (NZ's accelerating non-migratory population increase, I mean). Is there an explanatory-demographer-type in the house?
-
Yeah, but Sacha, isn't this thread also about 'who is going to pay?' Which then becomes about people who aren't able to pay (monetarily, at least).
-
even if it doesn't double again by 2050, the "i'm ok down here in under-populated NZ" attitude is not likely to be helpful to your offspring
Yeah, I... kind of already knew about the world population explosion, not being a complete ignoramus (I just play one on TV). Thanks for the finger-wagging, though! My day isn't complete without it.
My perhaps poorly explained point centres solely on this thread's strange freakout over the po' folks having too many sprogs, to which my response is: in New Zealand, are the poverty-stricken actually reproducing way more than one would expect? Do we have an oddly high birthrate amongst the poor for a developed nation? Because I thought most developed nations had birthrates which continued to drop as their general prosperity continued, so you end up with quite small increases. Is that changing?

And Scott Baio is now a rightwing douchecanoe. Plus ça change.
