  • Field Theory: Geniuses,

I do hope that Genius when I ask it about any of the Phoenix Foundation tracks or SJD doesn't just indicate that these are like any (every, or ALL) NZ music, like last.fm

Like Jake said, it shouldn't. However whenever I pick a hip-hop song/artist it will always fill the playlist with hip-hop. Anyone else had the same problem?

  • Field Theory: Geniuses,

I haven't had a track not work yet. Perhaps my collection is a lot more legit than I thought. But I did have the same reservations about Apple rummaging through my music. But maybe we should have faith that they are looking to see what music they should be adding to their store. Yeah I'm not buying it either. Then again I've been letting iTunes auto-fill my cover art for a few years now.

Two quick notes after re-reading my post. First I misspelled Gomez. Second when I said I would still buy albums I meant I would buy them online.

I don't really "do" CDs anymore. I don't need trophies. Although e-music does mean I have to back it up somewhere.

  • Field Theory: Home and Away,

Paul that was mean! The Birmingham City 1992 strip may have burned out my retina!

  • Field Theory: Home and Away,

Here's one that's widely labelled sh*t, but I reckon is actually pretty classy

That's a nice uni and what a ginger afro!

I have some questions though: Is that an Adidas logo on the left? And if so why are there only two stripes? And is the colour brown or black or some kind of maroon?

  • Field Theory: Home and Away,

I can't be doing with sport but I like Andrew Saville. Very personable man.

He seems like a nice enough guy (he had a joke fall very flat the other night which was a bit awkward though). But if he could only stop nodding when he talks.

And even with the nodding, Andrew Saville > Tony Vietch.

  • Field Theory: One man with 18 feeds,

playing football's more fun than getting yer head trampled on by 15 neanderthals.

Unless you're one of the neanderthals. Because that's the thing about rugby (and other contact sports) you can either cry about being tackled or you can get up and smash the bugger who got you last time (in a fashion according to the rules, I'm not condoning unsportsmanlike conduct).

  • Up Front: First Footing,

Heh, I stubbed my toe the other day. That hurts! I really don't remember it hurting that much when I was a kid.

Banging your little toe on something, like a table leg as you walk past, is the most painful thing I've experienced (and I have a tattoo on my elbow AND collarbone)

  • Field Theory: One man with 18 feeds,

Andrew Saville's to replace Tony Veitch as One News' sports presenter

I just mentioned this in my new post. So I imagine we can discuss it there, and leave this thread for Thom to try and defend football as interesting :)

    However,

He's somewhat workmanlike, but far less obnoxious, braying and concerned with being a "celebrity" than Veitch.

I agree although that is not to say that the Saveloy isn't obnoxious and braying (which I think he is*) but he is much less-so than Vietch was.

*and he can't stop nodding when he talks, he's like a frickin pigeon!
