When I met Justine (twenty years ago this time next year, in Edinburgh - time flies when you have just constant fun) she used to wear in all kinds of weather and no matter whether indoors or outdoors a green rain jacket that I liked a lot and that I picture every time I hear the Leonard Cohen song.
But did you ever go clear?
It was years before I realised Len was talking about this.

A 20 year-old DJ slowed down Justin Bieber's 'U Smile' by 800%, until it lasted 35 minutes and sounded beautiful and amazing.
Kinda reminiscent of Douglas Gordon's 24 Hour Psycho, in which the Hitchcock film was radically slowed down. Don DeLillo is a fan. Unfortunately, the only YouTube clip I can find is the shower scene and I'm not embedding that.
That Bieber remix is probably what Sigur Ros have been striving to sound like for ten years. Or Stars of the Lid. Glacial must be the word for it. Amazing.

Deborah Coddington on Nine to Noon this morning, on the question of whether Rodney is a bully:
"Heather Roy is a soldier in the territorials. She was scared of a short man with a spray-on suntan who went on Dancing with the Stars?"

I suppose it would be impolite for me to suggest here at this stage that perhaps people with ASD just need to exercise more and then they'll be cured?
Funny you should say that. In Japan, rigorous physical exercise is part of autism therapy (Daily Life Therapy).

Canterbury readers of a noise music persuasion would be directed to this on Saturday:

I saw Eye two years ago in the Arts Centre basement; reminiscent of Repent-era Dead C but less abrasive. And includes legendary drummer Peter Stapleton. The other two acts I don't know ...

Just listening to him now. No one who sounds so angry should be handing out parenting advice ...

In other music news, Christchurch's KLF mystery has been solved. Well, I was scratching my head anyway ....
