The more people like a thing, the better it is!
Wham!
Your point is?
In future, when you look up 'relentless', this thread will be mentioned. Just sayin'.

And me and Fiona and our friends and recordari. Let's organise!
Reckon. I'm so over this thread now, I might get under it, because I certainly can't get behind it.
Hello Emma. Hope you're doing Ok. ;-)

yachting=sport, mountain-climbing=/=sport...
That you need both an element of physical activity, and an element of competitiveness? But bouldering has a world championship.
As does Tiddlywinks. Flexing one's finger is surely a physical activity?
<I may actually be trolling now, so I better stop. Sorry.>
ETA: But seriously, how could you not laugh at this sentence?

I’ve got a cousin – really Aussie bloke – and he did his first full dress Melbourne Cup a couple of years back.
I had to read that several times before I worked out your cousin wasn't the one looking pretty as a spring flower in a dress. Not that this wouldn't be a good thing, or anything.
ETA: Double negative city. Entende de merde.

If there was a Cultural Cringe World Cup I think we'd be favorites for that too.
Oh, I don't no. We have no franchise on cringe, AFAICT. At least ours was short. Seven minutes of a bad idea is a long time, no matter what sort of stamina you've got. So to speak.

You know, how I hate yachting as a "sport" (I don't believe it is), but I still bought red socks.
I was thinking about this yesterday too. Until the final we were supporting Luna Rossa ([Redacted] yeah, so my memory ain't what it was). And while I couldn't give a stuff about yachting as a rule (seasickness issues), the Gemeinschaft sentiment it seemed to bring to the country at the time was largely positive, in my rose tinted memory.
Our daughters classes at school have all adopted a country for the RWC. One made this awesome poster for Namibia, and learnt a bit about them at the same time.
So, we had the red socks, what now? Fitzy pink nail polish?

Hard News: When the Weather is the News, in reply to
Something like this
We used to have something like the 'Before' photo in the picture. It was considered a classic, and the real estate agent up-sold it something chronic when we were looking to buy.
Then, once we owned it, we were encouraged not to actually use it so as not to burn the house down. I'd love one of the working ones though.

Perfection is rarely attained, but I suspect this comes pretty damn close.
Emma wanted some prepositions, so this.
and then this.
