I have been meaning to ask you, James, what is the state of New Orleans these days?
For once I agree with you, it's not a good idea to just stick with websites that you agree.
Though I doubt, what may be mainstream in the US or even Aus, is mainstream here.It wouldn't surprise anyone if Iran was involved in Iraq some how. Though it's a bit rich that the US are complaining, that Iran is trying to set the country up to set it's purposes, when the US has been trying to do that for over three years.
It's just that awful feeling of 'here we go again', they are trying to convince people to invade another country.
Whether or not it's justified, the current crowd are the last people you would want to do it. -
I think you're right - although "liberate" isn't the word I would choose ...
Perhaps he was using Bushes definition of the word.

How could anyone see Davies' clips and not think they were satire.
I do realise that it can be hard to tell with the fundy crowd sometimes.
But thanking Andrew Sullivan for getting behind them, the new "CHAPs" program and being born that way with regards to his medical condition.
Plus the cheese music video had comedy show written all over it. -
<quote>Come to think of how do you all find the time?</ quote>
Get made redundant. You find lots of time to do Sweet FA. -
This sounds ridiculous, but there's a calmer 'vibe' to this forum.
Could be the mellow colours on the website.
Or perhaps because the link to the comments area is called "Discuss".
It could confuse them when the blood rushes to their head and so they haven't figured out how to post.lol

But then even our friend from New Orleans did start of trying to actually argue something and was reasonably civil.

I think it's because this blog doesn't attract that sort of crowd.
The redbaiter and Fred type tend to be pack animals. Need the safety of numbers.
I use to think that type were just people mucking around, but they are far too common. You see them a lot more on American blogs. Just regurgitating the same mindless phrases, without actually saying anything. In fact the only difference is the American ones tend to mention god a lot more. -
Wonder if this fuss is going to encourage more people to bring flags and more of those "acts" of patriotism.

And does the "International Left" have any vacancies?
I need a job.Hmmm, Iraqis are going to be in charge of their own resources?
With permanent US bases in the middle of their country?
What if they introduce such Anti-American policies as Venezuela has or what Iran did in the 50s.
The would have a regime change faster than you could say, "Shar of Iran".
My original comment still stands, not even the current US adminstration is stupid enough to hand back total control of a resource that is so important.
Almost as stupid as Saddam Hussein giving an WMD to a terrorist group that had called for his over throw. -
Paul,
I managed to post as anonymous and as other.
It's just the google thing that wasn't happening.
It seems that if I log on using my gmail password, non of the options work.
