I am going to use it as much as I possibly can, out in the wider community, from now on. Hey, it's the holidays soon, and I can be as profane as I want. Huzzah!

Au contraire, ma cherie - the Mt Eden bakery is there, it's just run by a Frenchman now. They sure don't do beestings anymore, though. But their almond croissants, and chicken/cranberry/brie pies make up for that. In spades.

Hard News: We are all twatcocks now…, in reply to
You can't please all the people all the time, eh Bruce? Never mind, love. The rest of us will use it enough to make up for your distaste for it.

I am so glad, being not so much scatological as profane in nature (thankyou Ben) that twatcock has taken it's proper place in our vocabulary. Fantastic word. Although I was a little disappointed to see that vajazzling scored the lowest.

Okay, I don’t bake, and I’m not a big cake person really – but the ones I loved when I was a child were my mum’s date loaf, and her marble cake. Absolutely couldn’t beat them. And I am a sucker for a custard square. But pastries? Oh my sweet goddess. The Mt Eden bakery, years ago, used to sell these things called beestings and they were custardy, cakey fabulous. Also, I am rather partial to a mille feuille, and I really like eclairs. The Eden On Eiffel does these things called Religieuses which are profiteroles with chocolate custard in them. And you can’t go past an almond croissant from Wild Wheat OR the Mt Eden bakery. I must reiterate that I haven’t eaten any of those things for a number of years……….

Hard News: The Public Address Word of…, in reply to
I have always used scatalogical to refer to my love of swearing, even though, I see now, it is all about the excrement. So then – what is the word for someone who loves swearing? If I ever knew the answer, I can't remember it now. Maybe it's profanitorial.

Busytown: She loves you, YA, YA, YA!, in reply to
Sheez, once you all get going on Jolisa’s blogs, the reality of the mountains of books before me becomes quickly overwhelming, and feel compelled to crawl back under that rock of which you speak. Intimidating, much?
Honey, if I listened to all the music, and read all the books, and watched all the films/tv that is recommended here? I would never leave the house. So I find it's much easier to occasionally watch a youtube thing that someone's posted. Helps that I don't do science fiction, though. Imagine.

I am so enjoying this series - I hope it comes back next year.........

Oh, I do love him. Which is a bit strange, considering that I don't listen to BFM. There's only so much obscure and loud and yoof music I can listen to, before my ears shoot off my head in flames. I wish him very, very well in his future endeavours. Stay curly and cheeky, Mike. I like them that way.
