From Today’s Herald…
Last election, there were 24 referrals to the police and 62 complaints about dual voting. Only one of the investigations into those referrals has so far been completed: the Electoral Commission’s belief that Prime Minister John Key’s hour-long stint hosting on RadioLive was an election programme which breached the Broadcasting Act. On March 30 police announced they would not lay charges because there was insufficient evidence.
So, who should be investigating these breeches?. As it stands we might as well have no Electoral law, if the Police can't find evidence in an entire hour long, illegal in the opinion of the Electoral Commission, election broadcast what hope do we have of a fair and balanced electoral system?.
ETA. Maybe I should have clicked on Graeme’s link first but the comment stands.
ETA, again.
Nice submission Graeme. -

@Steve, you missed the rocket launchers on the apartment block roofs. I am NOT kidding.
Nah, I missed nothing, my Sister lives in London and she took the shot. I heard abut the Missile Launchers the other week. In all the UK Govt. is spending over 1 billion Pounds on defence for the Games.

Back to Banks: he's too important a fish to let off the hook.
Firstly there is just the sheer newsworthiness of the story. If playing six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon is too difficult for you then linking John Banks to just about every scandal facing the government is child's play - Kim Dotcom, SkyCity casino, the teapot tapes and even Michelle Boag (who helped with Bank's Mayoral campaign).
Picture blatantly stolen from the Herald because without it we may forget how crazy this guy appears to be.

Were I to do this from Ballantyne’s it would be called theft (or shoplifting).
Only if you permanently deprived the copyright holder use of their own work.
Personally I get a bit pissed off with the whole concept of ownership, how the hell can you really own an image? are you going to gouge out the remaining parts of my brain because I might remember something created by someone else?.
What does it profit a person if they own the world but can't pass wind in front of a camel?. -
Using the Lunar Perigee and Apogee Calculator website, we see that the closest perigee of 2012 is May 6 @ 356,953 km. The farthest apogee is 13 days later on May 19th @ 406,450 km. Subtracting the distance gives you 49,497 km. So 90% of that would be 44,547 km. Any syzygy that's closer than 406,450 - 44,547 or 361,903 km would be by definition a Super Moon, in accordance to Richard Nolle, the astrologer gets credit for coining the phrase.
At 100% (its closest approach of the year) it is known as an Extreme Super Moon. The "Extreme" has been misguided throughout the internet, where people think it only happens every 17 years, which is not true. It happens every year on the closest Super Moon of the year, only the distances vary from year to year. (For example: last years Extreme Super Moon was 400 km closer than this years).
Is this another attempt by johnkey to distract us from asset sales?, or is it something bigger?. Well, it seems to be global so, what are the Americans up to now?.
