The Dropkicks aren't after a token as such, we'd like someone just like us but with a "women's perspective". ie. Able to talk bollocks while not possessing any.
-
The thing I'm most impressed with is that everyone is able to get up so early the next day!

re: John Key DVD
How long before we get mash-ups? Seriously. I'm waiting -
I've got close to $30 this year for my "cop" tache.
I'm also against comedy moustaches. Grow a good one and watch the womenfolk swoon.
My favourite is the one where the handlebars join the sideburns. But that's "not allowed". You know who else had rules and moustaches and made you spread your wealth! The Commies.

It was the Tui and Holden advertising for Movember that almost made me quit.
But I (surprise!) agree with Tom. Most guys are growing a handlebar because they think it looks cool, but then their facial hair and face shape let them down.
Grow the tache that suits you and you'll get much more kudos than just trying to emulate Lemmy (not the worst thing in the world).
I went for the Errol Flynn but being a ginger it didn't really fly, so I stuck with the "slug" and now I look like my Dad circa 1986
And Kowhai, I'm shocked you didn't vote for the Dropkicks! What happened to good old-fashioned nepotism?

snap Emma :)

Of course to make these arguments you have to assume that Bob McCroskie actually watches the shows. Rescue Me is a show about firemen, oh that'll be fine...**__Californication__!!!** I will protest this even if it's about kittens!
Personally I'm just angry I missed the first few episodes, guess I'll just BT it. (heh, getting smut from the internet instead)

Heh, an email reply from a friend (about Marc Ellis):
[Ellis] seems to be above the law. The police say they were "disappointed they were not advised." And they do nothing.
The Police weren't "advised" there were a bunch of people running around the bush in the bay of plenty wearing camo gear and swearing at the government, and they launch operation 'Overlord' to supress it. Ellis sets fire to a national icon and he doesnt even get a 'Market Garden'!(I've been watching 'Band of Brothers' lately)
re: Xtra. I got rid of them ages ago after really bad service, but now I'm worried that my new house won't have Telstra cable!
-
The sooner Marc Ellis is shipped off to some remote place with no media communication the better.

Oh and if it's only quotas that are being placed on South African rugby (and not crazy financial or "cultural" changes) then I think Jake White should stay.
If you think about all the famous sports biopics, the great coaches aren't the ones that run away when presented with a challenge, they are the ones who stand there and do the best for their team, their country (or town or school or community), and their players.
The black guys coming through might not be the best players in the country but they won't be some schmoes off the street either. Perhaps they could be great, but not if the good coaches don't want to coach them.
