Is it that thing where they insert ads and it bumps the live feed back? Sort of reverse TiVo.
and speaking of ads, our household was rather annoyed that Prime went (almost) straight to ads at the end and we didn't get to see the Ferns celebrations

I used to have Bernice Mene on my list of "Five Celebrities I'm Allowed to Sleep With if the Opportunity Arises", until she was vetoed under the "Chances of Meeting a Famous New Zealander are Actually Pretty High" Act of 1998.

"...the increasing Americanisation of New Zealand sport"
I think Americanisation should be spelled with a z. And technically we are New Zealandising Roller Derby (Aotearoafication?).

And the flurry of CAPITALS..
I heard a little voice from my keyboard say "oh yeah it's CAPSLOCK's time to shine!"

I'm sure we've discussed this before but: Amy is my "wife" for the reason that the word encompasses everything you need to know about our relationship and makes life infinitely simpler (9 times out of 10) when talking to strangers.
That tenth time is when they ask: so when did you get married? Then I look like a liar.
EDIT: I just thought about what would happen if I said "wife" and actually used air quotes

@Linger which university and what do you do? I've been trying to talk to some of the unis for a while with no luck
@Morgan from what I can tell you need an address, but this can be a hotel you're staying at. But it helped that I already had a prepay phone that a friend of a friend had lent me.

@Geoff
It was at Beervana, the BrewNZ Awards in Wellington this weekend. Sorry I can't believe I forgot that bit!@Martin
It's a bit like Krufts. There are a number of beers that get medals (gold, silver and bronze) in each category. So there could be a large number gold of medalists in a given category (or even 0, as in the case of NZ Draught). The best beer in the category wins the trophy for that category.I believe (but I'm not 100% on this) the number of medals is how the best brewery is decided.
Croucher were the brewery I most regret missing out on. I love their Vicar's Vice and Cherry Bock.

Jed, who takes photos for me on occasion sent these through the other day:
A sports team that wants to control images taken of itand the death of photojournalism
Both Jed and Mike have tried to sell their images to newspapers/magazines and have been told that sadly there is no money for buying photos.

I suspect the next big whinge is going to be as manufacturers, hit by OLED unavailability, swap to a new LCD screen tech. Apparently about to happen with some HTC kit.
That's true and has already happened with HTC and Samsung. Engadget (or possibly Gizmodo) were saying the main difference you'll notice is brightness, the resolution change shouldn't be noticeable (until you put them next to the iPhone4).
PC World have quoted some idiot about what to do if you want to return your new phone that may drop calls.
