I remember a veeeery long time ago a joke in Mad Magazine that went something like:
Ronald Reagan can't have played College Basketball like he claimed because basketball wasn't invented until 1891.

Re: vinyl - MP3, like everyone else, I consider my collection chocka of unique and beautiful snowflakes. I was thinking about getting one of these, and flogging it back on TradeMe once I was done.
The Grauniad advertises something similar for around a hundred quid. I don't know if the $700 bucks that guy wants is a lot, but it seems like it. If I spot it I'll link to it.

A good friend (let's call him Boofhead) has decided he needs/wants a tat. I'm delegated to drive him because I'm the only one not drinking at breakfast. So we go find a parlour (why are they called parlours?) and he proceeds to choose the ugliest, most moronic design in the place. From memory it involved a cross, barbed wire and flames.

Glenn Reynolds and Malkin seem happy to let their reputations go down with the party.
A quick browse of the Beeb had this under Experts Score the Debate from Michelle Malkin:
Sarah Palin is the real deal. Five weeks on the campaign trail, thrust onto the national stage, she rocked tonight's debate. She was warm, fresh, funny, confident, energetic, personable, relentless, and on message. (5 out of 5)
My first thought was that Malkin would have given Palin 5 out of 5 if she'd mounted a polar bear on stage and promised to bomb the russkis in her first week on the job. But Malkin is fucking nuts.
