List of all the bad stuff she did (apologies for the FB link, but I didn't want to come over all Farmer Brown with a megapaste):

London was more affluent, cleaner and friendlier. This was heartening.
I thought that was more of a sign that the poor and disgruntled were now in prison, or some distant township type area, which wasn't very heartening. I went back to Brixton a year or so ago and noticed that most people were white, which was a symptom of the same thing.
Lambeth council banning black rubbish bags and Haringey renaming manhole covers
A total fabrication by the Tory media (empowered by the new technology Maggie's police helped them introduce). It's a sign of the power of the lie that this is thought true by a progressive person many years after the fact.

I guess so long as you were white (and Protestant - he became the only Ulster Unionist MP not actually from Ulster) you were inside Powell's tent.

I can't find her in the voting list for the second reading of the relevant legislation:
http://hansard.millbanksystems.com/commons/1966/feb/11/sexual-offences-bill(In the UK parliament, second readings are the key one. They do have a system of "pairing" which may mean that she didn't have to vote because paired with an opponent of the Bill.)

So were, inter alia, Churchill, de Gaulle, Roosevelt and most subsequent US presidents and UK prime ministers.

the British Labour movement, whose disappearance down the Militant Tendency rabbit-hole played a great part in Thatcher winning successive elections
The Militant Tendency never reached the leadership levels of Labour. The first election Thatcher won was of course lost by the (old right) Callaghan and subsequent elections saw Labour led by the fairly soft left Foot and Kinnock.
It was the right-wing media, led by Murdoch, that turned the moderate Kinnock into a demon baby-eater. That media was only willing to ease off on Labour when the latter had elected a leader who was about as leftist as George Bush *and* the Tories had become so risible that the right were going to get an alternate government if they liked it or not.

Alright, she was an evil anal passage with no redeeming properties.
I think one of the things that enabled her to be so successful was that many on the left were more concerned with correct use of language than the physical actions of government. This reached its nadir with Blair, who would never use an incorrect word but was quite happy to riddle people with depleted uranium if they happened to live in the wrong country.

I think if I remember Maggie for one thing, it's the way she conspired with arms dealers and the Saudi regime to garner enormous bribes which were fed back into the pockets of her and her associates. It took her from being a relatively poor "grocers daughter" to the lifestyle of a multi-millionaire. (With only a bit of collateral damage in the form of the jailing of Jonathan Aitken, one of the bagmen, as a result of bodging some of the coverup).
I suspect we might hear more now that her ability to sue for libel has been removed.
A corrupt, evil bitch with no redeeming features. I'd happily have paid twenty quid for a newspaper that's had the type chiseled out by hand and printed with a steam engine to avoid what she turned England into.

huge amounts of aid to recover
See, that's the great advantage of megatonne weapons on a 1km grid. No survivors, the place uninhabitable for many years and hence no need or possibility for reconstruction.
An apology a few years down the track, and you're home and hosed.

Hopefully bureaucracy will save us.
By the time the Army have painted the LAVs the right colour, found the key to the ammo store and fixed the boat's engine, NK will have fired off one nuke against Seoul and been consequently reduced to a radioactive desert.
