I’ve been riding around Auckland for five years now, most of that in the CBD or on main roads, and to be honest have had little grief from anyone – certainly not more than I would expect from driving around in a car in the same places.
I really feel for riders of road bikes; it seems they have been repeatedly anointed by media organisations as the model of Cycling Gone Rogue, and thus attract disproportionate vitriol and hatred.

Getting quite used to this now - addition of the numbered pages at top and bottom is ace, so thanks for restoring that.

I very much approve - with the exception of the Typekit problem which others have already noted. Good to have a button to make it evaporate. And there does seem to be a lot of white space, just shifted to the right rather than the left as in System.
But it's fantastic that posts and comments are now integrated, there's room for proper photos/pictures, and the font isn't going to slowly send me blind... will enjoy getting used to this. :)

A good final, but not quite as stonkingly good as the last six seasons had made me dare to hope for.
I too was waiting for things to go down in a proper shitstorm. Grandpa and his partner (whose name escapes me) became utterly unbearable this season and needed a proper sorting out; the caravan should have just been the start. Ditto Jethro and Bailey. And where was Wolf?
But we still got lots of good stuff. Notably for me, that last nicely turned exchange between Pascall and Cheryl, where lesser shows might have pulled out a last-minute miraculous reconciliation in a big shiny bow. And it all ended with Cheryl as is right and proper.
Also, wow, trending 6th of 10 worldwide on Twitter right now!

Great thread and happy I read the whole thing - but when I saw the title I thought of this... Not really a surprise revival though - Peters being such a hardy quadrennial.

But perhaps I was being a bit hyperbolic in attributing fanaticism to your own hyperbole. *shrug*
Happens to the best of us... I had to do a double take before the irony in Rich's comment appeared to me, then I was mightily impressed.

Lovely to see the middle class celebrating our descent into feudalism. Still, it is all good as long as the noblisse oblige of Lord Jackson ensures there are presents for Timmy this Christmas, eh?
[Deleted - not worth the bother]

The Standard is almost as good as Kiwiblog for mining nuggets of particularly shining idiocy.

Newsflash, fellow PASers, we're all useful idiots for Russell's advancement of the geek agenda:
...Employee rights are nothing against the imperative to have a big budget NZ movie that will make Americans respect us on Twitter.
