I don't believe that it was his followers who called him Bishop, I think it was him self-naming. I'm gonna throw that up as conjecture and run off to look for evidence, back soon.

Merc wasn't it Platoon where they shotgun the grass? Charlie Sheen gets all weirded out by Willem Defoe

Also last night and all through the "campaign" there are people saying "the vast majority of NZers oppose this bill".
Does anyone have links to these numbers? Not that I don't trust random commenters and Bishops it's just, y'know evidence and all.

Perhaps Barnett could try telling her he loves her before he hits her, then she could go to sleep feeling secure without needing a hiding as a catalyst.
I really do agree with you, except what about he just tells his daughter he loves her and doesn't hit her.
It's obviously not a "finger in the light-socket" situation if he gives her a smack before bed.

I've heard about it from drug squad police at conferences.
I just finished Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a great bit where Dr. Gonzo and his Samoan Lawyer are posing as vice squad and describing the drug scene in California to a Sheriff from Georgia.

On the subject of the Bishop: did we all see him on Campbell Live demonstrating what he would consider "light smacking"?
Fantastic. He did it three times and admitted twice that he didn't know.
I thought Miriana Hond (please excuse if mispelt) was a little cheeky in her interview, at least until they showed the Destiny Church media guy. What a smary bugger! "Excuse me Bishop there has been an unprecidented development" ugh.

Cats are nature's alarm clocks, but they just can't be set.
Mine does this thing where he walks up and digs under the covers, then gets out, then gets back in again etc etc until I finally get out. This is better than his other technique where he sits on my head. Bastard.
My advice: train them when they're kittens. Too late for that? Lock the bedroom door and ignore them.
My cats come when I whistle. My Dad used to do it to our old cat so I taught ours to do it as well.

We trained our cats not to scratch. Ok, you can stop laughing. But generally they don't. The only times they've got me were times I deserved it (i.e. teasing them with the catnip too long).

I would have thought that taking responsibility would have included being charged.
Not all the time. The family discovered who owned the dog when a relative showed up at the house with two large bags of watercress. The relative was invited in for a cup of tea, but declined. People have different ways of dealing with things within their families, then when dealing with strangers.

But with out the mass-media beat-up we'd nevr get those When Animals Attack TV specials (remember when TV specials were actually special).
And lest we forget: the Summer of the Shark
