Media outlets are advised that it is an offence to disclose private communications unlawfully intercepted.
Such as when Bill English was taped during the previous election? Or when Obama and Sarkozy were recently, regarding Netanyahu?
Why now?

Hard News: The Politics of Absence, in reply to
Labour's electorate vote decreased by 4.7% it's Party vote by just over 10%.
National's electorate vote increased by 8% and the Party vote by 7%.
The Green's electorate vote was static and the Party vote increased by 2.5 %.Frankly, I would have thought this result would have energised everyone.
-
No Craig, National's candidate is a parachute person and a bit of an insult really.
But Benson-Pope's majority was 10640 and Curran managed a majority of 6449. Three thousand of 'her' votes went to National rather than any other party... -
Curran repeated her line a couple of times; in separate posts...the latter stating:
And on another note, re white-anting; the attempts by the Greens to encroach on Labour territory is also happening in Australia
Which was, I think, made before Labour announced its economic policy and which bears an uncanny resemblance to the capital gains tax that is part of the Greens economic policy.
But if it's all about communication, well I live in Dunedin South and I have yet to see Curran or indeed any pamphlet or any sort of communication from Labour. Nothing for years.
White anted or simply being taken for granted.? -
post-Goff dream-team
Is this two elections away? If the polls hold up, the only Labour MP's about after the upcoming election will be the ones folk don't want now.

any variation from the norm
We have a wee note in the kitchen..: 'Normal: the average of abnormal'.

The WSJ article opined that :
The Schadenfreude is so thick you can't cut it with a chainsaw.
.
Here, it's sufficiently thick to luxuriate in... -
To me, it looks very much like Judith Collins' husband is getting $12k pa of free petrol, and Bill English's kids have pranged the free car 15 times.
Zackerly. How that helps an MP do their business about their electorate is anyone's guess.
degenerated into an incredibly serious allegation from Trevor Mallard (which he has refused to repeat outside the protection of Parliamentary privilege, naturally) that wasn’t so much half-baked as raw dough.
It's now morphed into the dealer expressing an interest in picking up the old Cars for resale...
An Opposition party that simply declares it will return every government policy to its previous default will struggle to convince anyone that it is looking forward.
Yeah well at this stage ...yanno: the lead into the election with the budget due, all we seem to have is an Opposition that appears to be in broad agreement with the Govt.

but also that Parliament is behind the times with regard to the internet.
Heh...you should hear the Speaker on the tabling of quotes from blogs. He can barely bring himself to say the word.
Of course there is the youtube of him floating about wherein he promises to resign from Parliament if he doesn't get the student loan scheme cancelled. So he may be a tad tender about the intertubes... -
I’d also like to see the officers concerned charged with wasting police time (and ordered to pay costs)
The chap in charge of the Law Society said on Kathryn Ryan's show this morning, that some 11,000 informations are withdrawn annually. That would be the entire workload of Manukau District Court for a year.
The Vista bar of the Ponsonby was on the TPU nightly rounds on Friday and Saturday nights. The first thing one would hear would be a whistle from the King Cobra's lookout and then the ( long silver push to open ) ashtrays would suddenly fill with...stuff. Patrons would be asked to go out for a chat.
There would be more aggro outside then, than at any other time...
