Aggers doing his "trying to get a leg over" classic commentary would relieve boredom. Maybe a massive freudian slip between Wolfie and John "I'm a serious journalist, really, not the political equivalent of the weather chick" King?

McCain might look like Tigh, but Palin has his accent.

help us, wolf blitzer, you're our only hope

Awesome re Wolf Blizter. Given that I've always associated his mode of speaking with James T Kirk, visions of an unholy US election night special of Star Wars vs Star Trek are forming in my head...

Which of course leads to discussions of whether John McCain is the Emperor or a Romulan...

[I didn't actually mean stop the commentary, I just mean I'm frustrated at lack of CNN]

Giovanni, please stop the live CNN commentary! Its torture to those of us trapped at work and unable to access a TV.

...although being sub...jected to wolf blitzer and his ran....dom pausing in the middle of words William Shatner styles is also torture, albeit of a different kind.

As someone also stuck at the office with no access to CNN, a good place to watch results is TPM Election Central . Their election map is currently showing poll results, but they fill in real results and they come in. The NY times will also have a decent site - they usually do.

Would be more fun if it was Grant Morrison or Mark Millar and they just trashed everything.

On the actual topic, on 538's final predictions, McCain's blown out to only 1.1%. I will (relatively) confidently predict that by the time we're heading home from work in NZ, Obama will be on his way to a healthy win.

Yah. It plays into the whole "National would have gone to Iraq" narratrive that Labour's been pushing for ages, but it isn't anything particularly shocking.

Now that that's over with, how bout we focus on the election tomorrow for the next 36 hours, then shift back to NZ?

I can report that Felix suffered no lasting damage to anything except his left wing credentials... he's currently an evil banking lawyer in London.
