  • Legal Beagle: Referendum Fact Check #6:…, in reply to merc,

The myth of the hard working minister must be maintained, 19 hours a day 7 days a week you know.

When I were a lad you used to have to have a proper job to be prime minister, not one of those mamby pamby fruit machine type jobs, you used to be able to, at least, be able to speak to people and tell them what you believed in, at least, at the very least.
I fear that we get less than that.

  • Hard News: Walking upright again,

The Deconsecration ceremony was a giggle.

I hoped I would never have to say something like this.
The land on which the Cathedral was built was chose for a reason, a reason we may not remember but at some time in our Nations past it must have seemed significant.
It has certainly evoked passion in the most passionless people
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting anything by that link, it was just the first result from a Google search for “passionless people”, thought I’d save you the trouble of doing that search yourselves, see how good I am to you?.
Anyhol. (nominate that for word of the year, beats alcaway)
That space will always be special to the people of Christchurch, regardless of the ceremony.

  • Speaker: The Public Broadcasting Imperative,

The fact we were sold by TVNZ and have gone on to grow and succeed illustrates the lack of understanding successive Boards of TVNZ have had and continue to have about the industry they’re charged with overseeing.

You could say the same about National with regard to strategic assets and the way they attempt to run the country.

    ????

Our core policies are simple and few; we aim to substantially reform copyright law and the patent system, keep government transparent and accountable, and ensure that citizens’ rights to privacy are respected.

I give this post by way of explanation to Steve

Thank you Ben, I thought you actually came up with some good points.
Tonight we will be discussing UI feedback loops and their similarity to conversation with regard to AI with particular reference to predictive machine behaviour.
    Or not. ;-)
