He said police would not enforce a trespass notice issued on October 15 by the Dunedin City Council to Occupy Dunedin protesters camping in the Octagon, because it would leave them open to being sued for breaching the Bill of Rights Act.
Legal experts yesterday said they were not surprised by that decision, and commended the police for their decision. -

They actually think it’s a really sweet deal to be given a big loan with no security so that you can study.
Well it would be if the loan went to the student but it doesn’t. The bulk of the loan goes straight to the institution, to pay fees, who is encouraged to charge at “market rates” to reap as much profit from foreign students as possible (citizens and permanent residents are “subsidised”). The rest of the loan makes up student allowance which is in lieu of a benefit, as you are neither sick nor available for full time work.

Well that’s not fair. They’re running Game of Thrones, Hours, Killing, Mad Men, Rescue Me, Boardwalk Empire, Six Feet Under, Weeds, True Blood, Entourage at present. Some of those are NZ premiers, some others are season premiers.
Like I said, SoSo. Nothing new to see here. Far better stuff on Prime, Maori, tvnz7 even TV3 in my humble opinion.
