Interesting disucssion on Afghanistan. Good to know that when the US State Department sends a New Zealand journalist there what that journalist is left with is a "feel" for the desires of the US State Department. Truly profound. Thanks for holding his feet so firmly over the fire on that one.
I can't tell whether you're being ironic, snarking or what
My vote goes for genuinely complimentary.
I took a piece of toast out of the toaster the other day and was amazed to see the image of a man with long hair and a beard burned into the bread, I think it may have been John Lennon.
Must've had a shave before preparing this one.
And seeing as it's PAS, here's the geek version.

So can we start calling him 'Bling-glish' yet?

Not that it's relevant to anything, but most people rarely play the second CD in a double CD set, or take the book out of the CD case..also true...
I remember reading something a while ago which suggested the average number of albums a person owns is around 30 (this was pre-Napster). It's the sort of statistic that makes me despair for the fate of humanity. Only being allowed to own 30 albums would constitiute cruel and unusual punishment for me.

Personally, I think food tastes much better if I cook it over natural gas I've prepared myself.
This does tend to add to the preparation time, as you have to get organised and lay down your biomass base several million years in advance. But the results are worth it.
My preferred mixture is around 40/40 deciduous and evergreen (doesn't matter which species - I'm not some sort of food fanatic!), with the remaining 20% made up of a mix of switchgrass, hemp, corn, sorghum, and sugarcane - the exact ratio of these depending on what I'm cooking. I normally add a pinch of chilli and perhaps some coriander, too.

109 words Rich, for what?
To tell you not to play the race card when someone disagrees with you. Which you have done repreatedly.
Did you not get that the first time round?

My 16 year old daughter is currently keen on Kerrang, even though she does acknowledge that it is filled with look-alike/sound-alike hairy boy groups.
Ahhhh, Kerrang. I was reading that when I was sixteen, too. That would have been at least mumble mumble number of decades ago.
It gives me great comfort (in my old age) that whatever other upheavals are occurring in music and fashion, metal just keeps on doing it's thing over in the corner, unnoticed and unloved by anyone else. And that's how it likes it.

If I weren't mistaken I'd guess you're just having a go because I'm yellow.
Mark - this is uncalled for and out of order.
As far as I am aware, this is the first time you've made any sort of mention of your ethnicity (as opposed to your current country of residence) on this forum.
I doubt TracyMac has (had) any idea what 'colour' you are when she posted, and it was and is irrelevant to her reply.
I could also point out that you have no idea of her ethnicity, either.
This isn't the first time you've pulled out the race card when someone has disagreed with you, and I for one would appreciate it if you used it a little more sparingly.

Should Harraway's develop porridge from spiced lentils and call it "Rolled Dahl"?
No. They should call it 'A piece of cake'.

I really enjoy conversation and wine. But they banned that.
Pt Chev is really getting repressionist these days...
It's a Trap[pist]! Get us out of here!
