Nelsen has ice in his veins, never anything less than classy.
He was superb.

I had cause to write a Facebook status update matching the title of this post not once, but *twice* yesterday.

Although, Paul Thompson, "Perhaps even the greatest moment in New Zealand sport full stop"? No, not by a long shot. There are a few olympians who deserve that particular accolade. And what about the All Blacks winnning the inaugural rugby world cup? Why can't it be a sport that NZ is good at that produces our greatest moments? Ludicrous argument.

Very, very pleased. My 8 yr old showed remarkably precocious football nous by sleeping through the first half, but I'm glad he woke up for the second. Couple of nervous moments from Lochhead and Paston early on, but other than that great poise in defence. Maybe you would have wished the AWs to throw a little more caution to the wind in the last twenty minutes - Elliot certainly seemed to think so on the park. But you can't fault the result. "Keep it close enough that a goal at the end will suffice" was probably the best tactic. And great goal, that was no fluke.

I like the iVuvuzela app, for the convenience of aggregating loathsome objects with one another.

Cancel that, the reply came already.

That seems a pretty sure way of tuning out New Zealand's participation in the cup. To me I confess the early stage is always the most exciting part. Everyone's in it, you get to discover new players and often to watch the best football.

It should read 'I reservedly unapologise.' Blame the cost cuts in the sub-editors dept.

Yes, Wilson would be the perfect replacement for Plunket were it not for the fact that she's needed where she is.

We'll act surprised, promise.
