  • Cracker: Dig This!,

I can't find anything to help with these nasties other than the soap, garlic mixture
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet with chemicals or not grow the plants that are susceptible
Do read the instructions very carefully; these things are safer than the hard greens would have you believe.
The only person who actually died from DDT was a gardener from Wellington who layed it on with a very liberal hand

  • Hard News: New Old Left?,

Well that didn't work very well
Mana only gave 816 votes to Mat out of 22.000
Greens held their percentage but should have made some increase
Labour a fail, by- elections are meant to favour the opposition, not much sign of that here

Regular sowing of small patches of mesculin mixtures are good value

  • Hard News: Moving targets,

Passed Mr Hodgson as we walked downtown in Dunedin this morning
    Looked pretty perky

  • Hard News: Moving targets,

And let's not caught up "this in lieu of a wage increase in 1972 and a life time right to travel"
Plenty of above average wage increases since then knocks the first claim on the head

I used to have a couple of licenses that were given to me "for a lifetime"
It was easy for a Government to change those to having to renew them every five years with an ever increasing fee

Let's remember that we have not heard the whole story here
But it is not helpful to tell any girl (let alone one who in your opinion might be headed that way) that she looks like a slut

Speaking to the teacher who is in charge of discipline at our local school on Friday she said she would not even allow herself to think the word let alone say it

One of the problems for teachers is that they can see patterns of behaviour that will lead to almost certain outcomes, often at quite young ages. I like to think most try to be helpful rather than use verbal put downs that will almost certainly accelerate bad behaviour

  • Hard News: Do you like what we've done…,

Not sure if this has been mentioned but in the “Cafe” section when I hover over things they disappear
    I am using Windows XP
Means I have to stab in the dark (or light actually)
It seems to affect the top entry and then ever other one...strange eh
Other than that I really like the new upgrade from the beta system and can live with that one problem

I am with Islander on this, a good life a, quick death and a meal for me
And for all the tut tuters unless you are dedicated vegetarians (I hope those are not leather sandals) where do you think the fish/chicken/meat comes from
And what about the rights of vegetables to live unmolested lives

    Where is my f******g pony
    We have been robbed

Other than that I like this new system and that is over-riding my conservative nature (this is a surprise to you all) that dislikes change
Lots of new things to learn and master

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the
First older pages etc that is way down the bottem would in my humble opinion be better at the top
Well it would best suit my reading style
