Our dog, Stella, can tell the time. Exactly 13 minutes ago she demanded rawhide munchies, her appetiser before the jellymeat. And before you poo poo this I have to point out that she adjusts for daylight saving and only gets it wrong when the clock on the stove is out.

Bertrand Russell had to do quite a bit of work in Principia Mathematica to demonstrate that one plus one equals to, as I recall.
One and one equal TWO and it was Newton not Russell. You'll be telling me that Wealth of Nations was written by Ayn Rand next.

Nothing is real! Nothing is true! Nothing exists!
Nah, Nuffink doesn't exist...
I was having a discussion last night with a friend regarding the intangibility of value.
Take a bottle of wine, for instance, It is a liquid, it comes in a bottle, you can drink, you can get drunk but its value relies purely on its taste which is intangible. You could have a similar argument with regard to land, what you actually own is a location, which is, again, an intangible. -
Mr X has proved one point at least. Landlords, over centuries, have tended to be unlikeable characters.
For a very good reason, they are basicly parasites. If only we had council housing these people would be able to live productive lives. -
Ok. I retract the Micheal Lawhs thing but I am so happy for Egypt I feel ecstatic.
It's almost like 1966 again. Love and peace. -
Just catching up with the news, been busy building.
Oh bejezus, I am crying tears of joy for the people of Egypt, uncontrollable tears of joy.
I am so happy for them I could kick Micheal Lawhs in the face repeatedly and feel no shame.. -
If power passes to Suleiman then we can expect a nightmare.
Suleiman: The CIA's man in Cairo -
I made a suggestion, many years ago, that at the age of 21 everybody should get a 100K grant from the government on the proviso that it is spent in this country. This would enable anyone with the skills to have a "grubstake" and either start their own business or put a deposit down for a house. This would stimulate the internal economy to the extent that we would surpass all growth estimates and therefore, boost the productive base of our economy. Yeah, a bit too radical for those that resent anyone having a fair suck of the sav.

And in irony News Te Herald asks if you know the news and starts with a minimum wage story...

Well, Our esteemed Prime Minister was known as "The Smiling Assassin" in his former life of a money trader, he had no apparent empathy with those that no longer were of use to him. He kept the appearance of someone that "was comfortable" and "Relaxed" about the consequences of his actions. We don't really know what goes on behind that mask, he is the kind of character that could be described as a cycle path.
