I will cry a little if #dirtypolitics is the winner, it and whaledump probably should be equal first. But i'm going to celebrate the joy and creativity in this country instead of evil and the dark side. SWEARWOLVES for EVER!

The Presbyterian Church faces similar issues. Sadly those Churches (like St Andrews on the Terrace) who have long been members and advocates of the LGBT community are in the minority within the Presbyterian church at large.
But in their case do they split from a national church or do they try to work to enact change from within.
It's so very sad I feel quite lucky to have grown up in such an accepting church, and being surprised when i moved cities how different churches were very straight down the line. My favourite was when it was ok to be gay as long as you never did anything, hate the sin love the sinner sort of rubbish

unions are great,
Sometimes unions get a bit to big for their boots, but their good far outweighs the bad.but i don;t see why it should be anything more than one vote per union member for labour leadership. So then there is no weighting from anyone who is not an MP.
But hey i've just given up on labour, to scrap CGT is just stupid. I suspect many labour party members like me will vote their candidate and switch their party vote even more. Does New Labour exist anymore?

Douglas Lilburn memory - first heard his compositions studying School Certificate music alongside Threnody to The Victims of Hiroshima by Krzysztof Penderecki. Someone must have been smoking something serious to create that years Curriculum

thank you so much for this post Nickkita.
and for your personal take on it all.Like any protest in china i worry, for how it will end. History tells us violently and at the governments hands. I hope that in our word of cellphones and social media that won;t happen.
For those of you interested in more behind it, i highly recommend following the Scholarism feed on facebook https://www.facebook.com/Scholarism the default facebook translation is beyond terrible, i'm google a bit better

Craig could you please pull back from calling anyone who has a different perspective than yours on Cunliff's decisions "disingenuous" or "naive" it's mean.
I don't know anyone who wanted Cunfliff to resign on the night, nor do i think there are many here who wanted it either. So not sure where you got that.
I wanted the review to happen before any big decisions were made, I'm disappointed that can't happen and that Cunliff chose to force the issue making his needs more important than the future of the Labour Party.
I do not think it is naivety to think a Potential Future PM can't take a step back and consider what is best for everyone as opposed to what is best for them and them alone. The review may come back saying nobody could have done more than Cunliff & he is the best leader going forward (i personally doubt it) but this rushed leadership election prevents party voters from making an informed choice.
To think and hope these things does not make one guilty of Dirty Politics.
Let's save that word for people who are really truly disgusting and have acted horribly with malicious and hurtful intent. -
here's the full email because someone asked nicely and apparently what's out there is not all of it.
_"The agreed principles of our leadership election process are:
democratic integrity and certainty;
transparency and fairness;
membership participation; and
Party growth.
If the process is to deliver this, it must be conducted in a spirit of respect and with the realisation that many from outside the Party are watching the process. This applies across mainstream and social media, our husting meetings, other Party meetings and the informal networks which we all have. The greater our discipline the stronger our foundation will be to unite behind the leader who is selected.New Zealand Council last night agreed the following expectations for Party members.
Robust exchanges about the merits of any candidate for leadership need to be based on performance and attributes which are relevant to their ability to be the Labour Leader.
Members (including candidates for leadership) should not directly or indirectly refer to a candidate for leadership in a way which is denigrating or disrespectful.
Members should be cautious to ensure that any statements they make are factually accurate and fair. They should ensure that any public comment on the candidates, the Party and the leadership election system uphold the status of the Party and its chances of election to Government, and do not bring it into disrepute.
I ask all members to comply with these expectations throughout the process."_ -
Speaker: An Open Letter To David Cunliffe, in reply to
Why yes it is this one came from Moira Coatsworth
It's just as indication of what a clusterfuck this all is.
I assume it's not retrospective, as nobody could stand for leader EVER -
I wonder how hard it is to get kicked out of a party
