In between day-dreams of the adventures we had in the massive field over the creek (before they built that concrete block of flats), I'm trying to figure out how to get your blog noticed by the folks making Andrew Henry's Meadow: The Movie.
I'm thinking a quick once-over from the script editing genius of Dr Gracewood might get them out of 'Development Hell' pdq!

Jojo, if I've told you once, I've lent them to you a thousand times! Max is best for cheap, best, hot-looking jeans (117 cashel st)... but if you want to go all fair trade on me, Untouched World has organic cotton jeans (cnr Montreal & Worcestor, although the one in Russley has an organic cafe)...

Not re-recorded at all! Chris tells me they picked it up as-is, where-is.

BTW on the Joey front... Yeah I knew it'd be him, too. I just felt a little let down as a viewer. It didn't have either the "oooh, I bloody KNEW it" factor, or the "No, NO. It CAN'T be!" factor. It sort of sat somewhere unsatisfactorily in the middle. Like, we knew it, so why doesn't Lara know it?

-is Gerald secretly rich? Possibly - but my guess is it's going to be a brilliant Credit Card Overuse Syndrome plot-line. The things he'll have to do to get that interest down...

Hmm... all very good analysis except for the Jay bit. I'm finding there's always an 'except'... except for Yvonne...

High five!

But WHY Joey?? What are the psychopathic theories that lie behind this...?

Duh... DS is not your ukulele-mafia name, it's me being exhausted from too many Christmas ukulele gigs! Your uke name, I reckon, would be the D-Uke.

Ah Sonic Uke! The taller naked one is ex-Dunedinite Jason Tagg - the man who's doing the most to disseminate the ukulele across the www. He filmed that now-infamous footage of Jake Shimabukuro doing a uke-ified version of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. Do not underestimate the Tagg!
And while I'm here, can I be cheeky and announce that the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra's first ever cd, The Heartache EP, goes on sale on Monday 17th? Perfect Christmas present, featuring a pretty gay cover of 'It's A Heartache', plus a classic festive tune from the 1960s, all about the Pohutukawa. You can order 'em via ukuleleorchestra@gmail.com.
Cheers for the uke love, DS!
