When we were at uni, one of our friends turned up with a couple of guys who "worked for the council". Actually in white collar jobs, but even though they made more than we did because they were working good jobs and we were students, a lot of us still looked down on them because they were Council Workers, and not properly educated.
Oi, I'm a council worker! I know stuff'n'shit... :)

A Twitter contact pointed me at this stunning collection of colour photos from American daily life in the 1940s.
I love these collections that some media organisations such as Denver Post and Boston Globe are putting out there.

Oh, am I alone in finding it meh? I totally adore the Beats International track (it made my 'top 40 songs of the 90s' compilation I did for a friend a few years back, and there was some stiff competition to get on that list, let me tell you) and I find the new one sorely missing 'tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty/you're listening to the boy from the big bad city/this is jam hot'.
Maybe, I see it as a totally different tune, bit of a throwaway and I quite like the Prof Green on the mic.
Having said that, the Camo mix is the one I properly like. Just referencing the single.

Okay, drawing a very long bow and wanting to spread some Friday musical love. Lily Allen has just announced she's going to be a mum, congrat's to her. She's also just released a version of "Just be good to me" with Professor Green which I rather like. Green's style is quite reminiscent of a young Eminem (if he came from Hackney rather than Detroit) and I've always loved the Beats International tune. So, here's one for all the Mums, be good to them.
And if you quite liked that but needed more filth, the Camo & Krooked mix is well tasty. Enjoy.

And it's pretty of course, so it looks good & tidy in a living area with much vinyl, cds and our furniture. Even a laptop has too many chords out the side for connecting to stereo equipment, power, Internet etc...

I'm bored with tinkering with my computers and Macs offer a tinker-free experience.
You certainly can tinker with them if you want but I agree with your point.
We run a PC and a netbook at home as well as an iMac which we use as our music centre and for home email and Web browsing etc... It's great because I don't want to tinker with it and it's been great for my partner because it's clean and simple so emailing, Web browsing is easy and it's the first machine that's really got her happy doing Internet stuff without frustration.
