Although I don't think Angus made his point well he made some valid points. There are people on this thread who don't seem to understand how the law works. Fairness and Justice have little to do with law. -
I think my history is a little longer than yours. I remember when I was covered in woad and the romans came a knokim' on my door and let's not mention the Vikings. You Scots had it easy. You try tellin' kids today. And, yes I had an evil puppy once so yes, I suppose I was rogn... ronge... wrogn.. Why do I have so much trouble with that word?.

Forgive me Angus but can I just re-word that a little?.
It makes sense if the people are speaking in court. We all want trials to be honest and get at the truth. Therefore we want all people in the court to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
People can't always tell the truth, because they either feel the need to lie because the truth does not put them in a good light or they cannot honestly remember. We can't tell the difference between lying and honest forgetfulness. So when someone is forgetful on something that can be proved that they should reasonably have known about then it is treated as a lie. We cannot allow the court to be lied to. The credibility given to the witness is paramount.

I understand the panic about Pitbulls but there are dogs from the same "breed" that are very bright and obedient. Wholesale slaughter is just plain nasty, the actions of evil people. -
