Yes I had backbenchers on in the background as I potted about the other night and Calverts even more barking than normal perfomance stopped me in my tracks!
I was gobsmaked at just how appalingly thick that statement was.

Maybe the Police could piggy-back on the Air Force's helicopter training runs?
Good luck on getting that one past Parliamentary services..... They take a dim view of anyone trying to borrow the pm's limo.

Meanwhile, Don Brash's open letter to John key might be the most socially divisive rant I've ever seen from a New Zealand political leader. Winston Peters included.
It's bizarre.

At the end of the day I can't help but think that true to the NZ way, Christchurch will be rebuilt in the classic NZ style of "Leaky". :o(
Developers will almost always go for the cheapest option to then flog off as the perfect property.
I'm also expecting National to use this as an excuse to accelerate welfare reform/cuts as "We need to save money to pay for Christchurch"..... i am wondering if the EQC insurance scheme will also become a target? -
As fhar as his tanty over the mandate goes, I'm curious, what was Laws whineing margin in his previous elections?
My google skills have failed me, Anyone know? -

I do wonder how much of this titanic Vs perfect storm in a teacup is due to just the Aussies trying to knoble a rival countrys industry for commercial advantage; and if the US actors union which has hated on the Kiwi film industry for years (ever since LOTR filming was started) is also involved in behind the scenes?

Well if you won't stand Islander how about talking Lynda just down the road into it. ;o)
If she could tolerate enough of the bullshit involved she would be pretty good IMHO.

I don't spend much time following Slater, so maybe I've missed it, but I don't get any sense that he understands his behaviour is any way unacceptable. I also wonder if some of his "friends" are egging him on?
I had to laugh at the coverage on TVNZ's news this evening where Slater stated that "As anyone who reads my blog knows, I can't stand hypocrisy" lol
