Got close up quite easily for Parquet Courts – who I really like
Not great photos but sunlight on the lads emphasises the ‘highlight’ for me.

  • Speaker: You ain’t from round here,

OMG – thank you for this Greg – The results for my local area are very surprising – 11/14 Local Board Candidates; 5/7 Local Ward candidates; 6/17 Mayor candidates and 15/19 Health Board candidates do NOT live in the areas they are contesting. It will shape my vote especially for those who have been in these positions for several years.

Ah yes Avondale – my old stamping ground and wonderful market. I go to Mangere Market on Sat morning – mainly for fruit, vegetables and flowers. Smaller and less range but good, cheap and handy. Here the stall holders do seem to recognise me and say hello, etc, though maybe that is due to my 70’s flower power trolley which is pretty noticeable.

Agreed – and all the more alarming for the futures of us all.

  • Hard News: What did you do yesterday?, in reply to Tim Welch,

yea Tim – we did too – well we didn’t sleep – but danced away to Tahuna Breaks who were funky and great and wandered about and got up nice and close for Sola Rosa only to be pushed back by bass that also had a sort of disconnect to the vocals. Also ended up leaving and drove along the South West motorway to the local fish and chips shop. Quite blissed out by the whole event. Lovely day, lovely day.
