I hate to break your revelry of child inspired love so I'll try not too.. I have no children whether by choice or accident doesnt matter now, And as much as I would have loved to have children of my own I am content to let those who have them enjoy them to the fullest extent they can.
In a way I'm glad I dont, as it would break my heart to know they will grow up into a world that without an increasing amount of conscious effort by an increasing number of people to take care of this place, our birthplace, it is going to get very tough in their lifetime just to stay alive let alone prosper. A world where a parents love is never going to be enough, if it ever was.
I have little faith that the Elon Musks of this world will turn things around.
And like Polly Im wary of the types like Key and Brownlee. -

I was just lamenting that even when the opposition is right they still get flack
And you have to ask yourself who is doing it and why,(If they can give a valid reason).
Now more than ever the voters have to give a shit, because many commentators and politicians dont seem too.
They seem to think they are too clever too bother with such mundane things, and have mistaken their jobs for performance art.As for that piece of shit our idiot PM’s son calls music Simon Sweetman sez it all And I not linking to any of it.

jeez some people have to put a money value on everything, politicians are leading this charge to the real detriment of future generations.

I think your mistaken even thinking that let alone writing it.
Those diehard Nact voters arent really engaged in the political process which requires they pay attention to what is happening around them in a wider sense, and making an informed decision based what they read and what they observe.
Confirmation bias is probably the mental process going on here.
But hey... I could be wrong it can work the other way as well.
An election is, what, now about a year away, we'll just have to wait and see. -

Maybe for you Rob, for me they’ll be excruciating. I take little joy from the screw ups on such a scale as this govt is screwing up. Because when those who are supposedly in charge are fucking up as monumentally as this lot are, and have been for years now, people suffer!
For me, when our idiot PM, showed how his mind works when confronted by facts on BBC Hardtalk years ago now. That should have been the end for him and his dopey friends, they got another term. More fool me.
Now the shortcomings of this govt are writ large, does the population go into denial mode, because if they or anyone close isnt suffering its out of sight, out of mind?
And all manner of mental justifications that do no one any good.Will Labour/ Greens be different, of course they will. Do they have to sell that to the population I guess so. Will people start paying attention to the direction a govt is taking us in, looking beyond personal interest.

Well not the minutae of his mental processes as they flashed thru his synapse.
Certainly not us out here in internetland who never knew of him or his mental processes until it was plastered all over news sites.
But someone in his immediate circle certainly knew all was not well with him. I read some authority somewhere is thinking of of prosecuting some one for not reporting him
Which seems nonsensical to me. Who would they have told? if their concern was to help him in his obviously fucked up state and not sent him into a paranoid tailspin, which could have made it ... I dread to think.
