Hard News: Mega Strange, in reply to
Prove it

As someone who likes sharing books (evil, I know, it's just the way I roll) I generally only buy hard copies. Especially as the ebook price differential is so shit.
When I do want an ebook I go to Project Gutenberg. Sooo much good reading.
Also, Calculus Made Easy.

Assuming I have a right to have a file in the first place (ie. I purchased as a file) then what provision might stop me from storing said file on any given medium for my personal use?
DRMs/TPMs. It's illegal to provide the means of circumvention and TPP will make it illegal to do your own circumvention, assuming you have created your own means.
There was a case in the USA where copying to a file to a machine's memory was found to be breach of copyright.

I think we all know that if you view marriage as a worthy institution shagging around is wrong.
What about if we don't view marriage as a worthy institution? It's a crock.
It's love that's worthy, and not an institution.

Love your work, Craig.

Go you good thing :-)
I do appreciate your passion. But insinuating I am <insert your misogynistic misrepresentation here> because I disagree is a bit low.
I think that you may wish to consider what power government agencies across the globe have to discredit individuals before making too many snap judgements. The Cold War perfected those techniques and just because its over doesn't mean they have disappeared.

Surely it is *more* of a statement of fact than "normal speak". Evidence has been weighed up, subject to extreme scrutiny and rejected. Normal speak is like a judgement made over a few beers.

Great article. I know it's a serious topic but this:
This time, I lost a jandal in the retreat
only in a Kiwi riot :-)
