Note how the decline of violence at English football matches coincided with Millwall’s relegation.
I thought it coincided with Acid House and the proliferation of 'e'? Give us a hug.

Brian seems a possibility. Just so you're aware, Bruce is taken (the area around Milton was formerly the Bruce County).
Wayne County would be fabulous. And perfect for the Big Gay Out!

I'd be willing to bet that in a year's time, the only trace we'll see of the national cycleway will be a suspicious absence of local body funding for everyday cycling initiatives, as local bodies are asked to pay for their own section of the mighty path.
It may be best remembered for becoming the 2009 PAS Word of the Year!

It was a stinking hot day and we managed to get through a box each of Canterbury draught (shudder) watching Nathan Astle and Danny Morrison deny the English at (I think) Lancaster Park/Jade Stadium.....fantastic afternoon!
You don't often hear the words 'Canterbury Draught' and 'fantastic afternoon' in the same sentence.

You have to start somewhere. Even getting the inter-city links established improves the chances of cockies getting faster tubes.
Agreed. Similar to the electricity grid decades ago. If the power network wasn't available in your region, the cockie up the back valley had no chance of getting it. But if the power line ran past that valley, the idea of connecting up the valley households becomes a much more realistic proposition. In the looooong term (20-30 years), I would not be surprised to see fibre or fibre derivative connections available in most places there is a power feed.
In the shorter term, expect local wireless solutions making use of the fibre backhaul to provide relatively decent connections.

If you know your independent music, it's a treasure trove. It's a great way to earn an honest buck. But it doesn't feel to me like anyone is getting rich.
These are two key points for Rob re eMusic. If you are a non-mainstream music fan it really is good, so hopefully this means it is worth alternative/independent labels being there. There may be a question over how much is being earned but I would hope that over time, with your catalogue available, that it provides some kind of income for the music makers.

I wanted to have a browse but you have to give your credit card to look through the site.
I think you can get in from a Google search using the site selector. e.g. 'king tubby site:emusic.com'

Just whacking it up on itunes is near pointless in my opinion.
But.what.about.eMusic.FFS! :-) I'm talking about http://www.emusic.com. It's not the great evil of iTunes, it's for indies and the fans that go there are looking for that stuff. It seems like a friendlier place and I'd be interested in your opinion if you ever want to check it out from the band/label guy side of the fence.
