(I think) There was a chap on Campbell live the other week who insisted they hadn't explained about the break free. Apparently the bank didn't want to litigate it so long after the fact and there was some kind of deal.

Anyone keen for a house swap?
No, but apparently if you can arrange to settle selling your house and buying a new one one the same day it may be possible to transfer your current mortgage - if that would suffice.
Won't help with the interest, but.
As a person almost certainly buying their first house very soon, I'm a bit lightheaded, myself.

This is quite possibly the geekiest sentence I have seen in my life.
You can buy - or rather, people can - doormats with
'There's No Place Like 127.0.0.1'
written on them.Admittedly - thankfully? - I had to guess what that one was about.

Has he declared his cast as an asset?

Had a hunt on format shifting.
Our amended act does indeed have oddly limited exemptions for format shifting.
Negative for prosecutions, but for idiot - idiot - RIANZ spokespeople see: http://www.aardvark.co.nz/daily/2004/0709.shtml.
I think things everyone agrees are not wrong should not be illegal, and in the case of format shifting it's not a question of degree either.

Too lazy to check if it's been mentioned already, but the thing that's bothered me is that I took till yesterday to officially take statements from the officers. Though I would expect there'd be an more ordinary reporting process before then.
Aside from that, pending further revelations I have less of an issue with this that some of the times they've killed the right guy. Which is a bit of an odd thing to think.

Well, if we're after something everyone can disagree with, Danyl links to Cactus Kate's thoughts on the matter.
What he quotes is not the half of it.

Further to open government, Obama asks Scott McNealy, a co-founder of Sun Microsystems for an open source whitepaper.
Digg appears to be in love.

As a Dunedin lad I've only every come across the term 'Sally Lunn' as a recipie-book english novelty. I gather the original has a much richer dough than anything under either name in NZ. And surely they don't use coconut icing?
