Kowhai arnt deciduous - the kotukutuku -tree fuchsia - is the only tree native that is deciduous (there are some wee groundlings that shed on a seasonal basis,,,)

It’s already happening…in the last 2 English editions of a couple of my books, I’ve been asked to provide meanings for perfectly clear* phrases in English. Thomas Kennally has had the same problem-

We haz beaches...damaged cribs at Moeraki (could teach kids to dig well & build- could make them available after their work for while they grew up - that's what Uncle Bill and Tui did for us...I am kaitiaki for them now ) - just a thought-
