I almost got the cable people to put a block on FoxNews, 'cos I was starting to throw things at the screen when I surfed past.
Of course, my next major stop after the US is the UK..... (sigh).

So, we "lost" that cup thing (thanks, bTW, for not reporting on it :) )
Here's a question: Why is it called the americas cup, when there is NO coverage of it here. Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Not even on the sport channels!

Ah yes. They run ads like that in Bali, too. We thought it strange that all the aussies and kiwis' (and other europeans) were running around trying to get as brown as possible, while the locals (well, the local TV anyway) were trying t get as white as possible.

Um, most times I've met you "somewhat unshaven" would be a good description. :)
And not in a bad way. Part of the charm etc ;-) Can't wait to see it - be a ncie change from the b0ll1cks on US TV here..... (sigh)

@Simon Grigg: The kite fighting: I'd LOVE to see that. The Balinese, I think, would do that so well....
Now, can we turn iraq etc into a kite fight? winner gets the oil.

As others have said: Moet is OWNED by the company that ownes LV. Given that the world cup is trying to stop ANY advertising within a 3k radius of the wellington stadium, I can see how Moet gets their wine in there :)
Regardless - I thought Emerites said they were hosting the cup - if they win it - in Dubai....!?
