(actually, retail is $3049 if you take 2GB of RAM, which you'd be silly not to, even though that makes it a build-to-order spec, which means you have to wait up to two weeks for your computer).
Rookie move buying Apple RAM. It is far cheaper and quicker to buy the box as is and then get some RAM from one of the local PC shops for about $150GB. There are even videos to show you how to change the RAM. So simple even n00bs can do it.

Well the media are quite often a bit behind the times...Take this 'news' article on TV3 on Saturday night - Kiwi entrepreneur solves iPhone problem
The problem is that this method of hacking the iPhone is now kind of outdated and the events of the last week showed that a simple software update is now available. There was also no mention of the other hardware hacks or the current state of play.
I wish there could be a little more research done so they could provide a balanced story. Checking facts and posting the correct attributions seem to be beyond some journalists.

If anyone wants to I submitted the video to Digg so dig it here

I think we must have gone to different movies because the Transformers I watched was frickin awesome...
It didn't try to be anything other than a bunch of robots kicking arse which they managed to pull off really, really well. The CG was pretty flawless, the characters funny (in a corny kind of way), hot girl, awkward geek, the product placement over the top and possibly the worst use of Hollywood OS that I have seen.
Everything you want in an action packed Hollywood blockbuster and more.

And people wonder why there is a problem with P in New Zealand.

In 1989 the Holmes show made its maiden transmission. Paul Holmes started with a bang, locking horns with Team New Zealand's number one foe, Dennis Conner.
I'm not sure what is more interesting - Paul Homes' hair or the actual interview...

How will TNVZ ondemand work in with Youtube? I mean, I can see how basically TVNZ could pass the cost of the hosting/distribution onto Youtube, but wouldn't that be slightly funny given their recent launch of their own tech/brand?
It is all about the content. TVNZ has the content but not the distribution. Sure OnDemand will be a key part of that strategy but that will only reach a certain audience. More distribution partners = more eyballs which = more ad revenue. Does it really matter whether you see Country Calendar on YouTube or OnDemand if TVNZ takes a cut of revenue either way?

From the day Coke Tunes launched I thought it was a bad idea. Coke is not a music company! Sure, do promotions on other sites but set up your own music store? What were they thinking?

So here is where I have visited:
Interesting to see the old overland from Kathmandu to London trail mapped out. It was from when I should have been in 7th form and dad wanted to go traveling. He was only allowed to go if he took me. That trip probably did me more good that a year of Accounting and English. Thanks dad!
On a side note I also have a places I want to visit map on Platial:
I highly recommend adding a map of your own. Mine is far from complete but it is a great place to store all those places you would like to visit after reading about them always kind of forget them after a couple of weeks.

You beat me to it. I mentioned embedding when we meet with them the other day and I think this is something they will definitely support. I would would be happy to run a pre-roll ad on the video if they gave me the ability to embed it on my site. Long term they should really look at sharing the revenue with sites life PA if they drive x number of stream views.
