Andrew, I think the internet is a guitar. It might sound wonderful or trite. Depends on who is playing.

BTW, anyone remember the Sledgehammer episode where he was converted into a sort of Robocop? Called, you guessed it "Hammeroid".

    Grapes of Rasche.

**5. A new depression is sure to bring us a new dawn in music.** Abject despair hardens, in time, into indignation and protest; at that moment, someone picks up a guitar and starts to sing. It begins with Woody Guthrie, it flowers into Bob Dylan. The bloated sanctimony ultimately yields Bono, but the game is still worth the candle.

    11. Our greater depression will flourish into a period of manic inventiveness. Abject despair hardens, in time, into self-rightous pride; at that moment, several someones pick up an urge to spread their own prideful thoughts to new pastures. A gushing of competition erupts and new miracles of technology arise. It begins with jet planes, thinking machines, rocket ships; it flowers into mass travel, computors, moon-landers. Then bloated sanctimony ultimately yields Segways, gameboys, space tourism; but the game is still worth the candle.

  • Field Theory: One man with 18 feeds,

I'm no fan of Alonzo, but I'm also no fan of Lewis Hamilton (mainly because he drives for McClaren – points off to the first person who calls McClaren a "kiwi team").

I was not a big fan of Alonzo, but he was always one of the league leading defensive centers and so deserves respect. Must have been hard to squeeze into one of them little cars though.

    Ditto (Spurs right?);

Worse Coventry, made 4th round of Cup last year though.

    I'm a Spurs fan, it's spelt M-A-S-O-C-H-I-S-T-I-C.

Picked my team back in the 80s on the basis of their uniform and seeing them win a highlighted game on TV1's sunday football show. The colour was sky blue and the win was not indicative, still reckon I could go for one of them strips though.

  • Hard News: "Rubbish" is putting it politely,

No, because (even if merely mentioning the name of an MP was an election advertisement, which it isn't) they are very unlikely to be spending $12,000 on printing and distributing such flyers and are thus not required to register.

You are confused that is the limit of a campaign backing a party, for a single MP the limit is $1000.

  • Hard News: "Rubbish" is putting it politely,

Carter, also Minister of Education, is patron of the Gay Auckland Business Association (Gaba), which this week distributed flyers to secondary schools asking students to apply for a $2000 tertiary scholarship.

Perhaps the Listener has legal experts looking at the wrong law.

If GABA are not a registered third party and this flyer bearing the name of MP (& patron) Chris Carter is seen as an advertisment then it is quite possibly illegal for the GABA to be distributing it in an election year.

Now that would be embarrassing to Helen Clark.

Do they have debates about speedo design on Aussie Rules forums?

You've missed the most iconic NZ uniform of them all - the black singlet.

Kiwi AFL uniform incorporates "the singlet" with suitable shorts.
