Hard News: Mandela, in reply to
He’s the PM: it’s his job! Of course he must go.
Well on that point we disagree. His job is PM of this country, which he is failing at.
International diplomacy is becoming a farce.
As Alec said Hone Harawira would be a good choice. -

Nelson Mandela a gift to the human race – and to all those people that stick to just principles – Thank
Yes a person who had integrity who rose to a position of power and did some good for his country and by extension all of us. Rest in Peace.
But as a New Zealander I wonder why john Key is inserting himself into the funeral process and going, it feels wrong somehow.

I would like to know your personal and legal opinion of pet killers?
I have been involved in a situation ongoing now for me for 3 months. After I was asked to look after a neighbours cats while they were away, and the cats suddenly disappeared. I found one of them in another neighbours rubbish bag acting on a tip from a now ex-friend of this neighbour. It has come to light that these people have been killing cats indiscriminately for over 16 years now.
Sure they get the odd feral but they live in the suburbs not away from people with pets. And over that time peoples pets have disappeared with no explanation. They are supposedly respected members of the community so getting police or the SPCA to take it seriously has been a real battle. And they are getting away with blaming other people and their story seems to be being believed by the police. It is an incredibly frustrating situation. And the recent public spouting of Gareth Morgan on the subject seems to have given them more justification for their actions.
Nothing to do with burglary I know... -

I'd had a bottle of wine, and I apologise to Lucy. And I'm in the middle of dealing with a local long time cat killer( so called respectable member of the alternative community, kind of) hiding behind a facade of concern for native bird life. No excuse I know :-(
Thanks Gareth Morgan!
If you want to hear a verbal apology Lucy
I'll make it here Wednesday 7-9pm
Never lived on a commune but have meet more than enough hippies in my time to know they regarded being stoned as some rite of passage. How they could sit around and try to act normally seemed a complete waste of time and pot.
Then again meet some really responsible mothers who stopped all stimulants while they were pregnant and raising children, even while living on communes. The dads, well that's another story. -

I did explain that in the post. Can you chill a bit?
Well their overpaid obtuseness makes me angry and I had had a drink.
But emotional environment matters, put it that way.
Environments we are systematically destroying or perverting by an adherence to a one "one size fits all" mentality.

that key factors in curbing drug harm were social, “even spiritual”.
Oh fuck me! drugs have an effect on the mind. No need to get all mystical on it.
And in case none of them have noticed, violence behaviour is more often
facilitated by alcohol.
Rendering recorded crime statistic's virtually meaningless unless we start reporting states of mind. -

I can tell you that having to deal with stoned adults when you are a child is extremely dull and regularly frustrating.
HJesus! we cant be held responsible who you got lumbered with as a child.
Have you got over it yet? -
Cracker: Stoned in Charge, in reply to
firing guys for what happened last weekend is just wrong
Well thats what some people see as the solution to a miniscule problem. But inflate it by various means and Hey presto a ready made villian!

would be better if you silenced me, or if you changed my mind.
Its always better to change minds. But some people will fight not to have their minds changed. Minds are a funny thing impermanent they exist only in our brains, yet trying to be so much more. sigh...

Ahh someone who just shares my vintage.
First international gig The Who and Small Faces at the Auckland Town Hall.
I was a roadie for a lot of the gigs mentioned here hmmmm…
I was sneaking out to clubs in Ak when I was young and saw the Underdogs, LaDeDas, The Brew. And Alaistair Riddell and his brother a drummer, of the Ginger Baker mould, played at school dances. Yep I have years.
